Last Bit of Research - Honest!

Okay, this’ll be the last one in this field of research! Spotted these this morning, so I decided it was only right to make a clean sweep of the chocolatey and cakey goodies and ensure the quality. Since I haven’t opened the Creme Eggs yet and still need to work through the other cakes, it’ll take a while to get to these, but it pays to be thorough in these things. Lucky I made sure they had a plenty of time left on the best before date!

Those egg fancies look interesting, what are the main ingredients?

Fairly certain it is mainly sugar!

@Ronrybs I have found online the description "Golden sponge fancies with a vanilla flavour topping, covered in a vanilla flavour fondant icing." I am sure I would like.

I remember Cadbury eggs at Easter time. My daughter loved them. Never saw or heard of the cakes. Yes, smart to check the best used before dates for sure.

@Ronrybs ......Very true. Mom used to get Kit-Kat when I was small and it was so much better than it is now.

I do like my cake! Since Cadbury's was taken over the chocolate isn't as good as it used to be.

Maybe I should be doing some research of my own before Easter gets here.

@Ronrybs Right, I'm on to it. We need to shop tomorrow. I might need to leave Vince at home. But he is bound to think there is something fishy going on. I'll need to come up with a plan. But that's okay. I've been there before.

The Fancies are an Easter edition, so they are available all year, but in different flavours. As for the rest, I shall soldier on!

@CarolDM I really shouldn't! I have to work through this lot first and I am not rushing it, still a good excuse for tea drinking

Those 'egg fancies' are basically their usual 'French fancies' I think, with different colour filling. I hardly ever buy anything like that but I do like the French fancies now and again.

I don't like the creme eggs at all ...searched for the mini eggs but everywhere was sold out. They are my Dad's favourite

I suppose they are very sweet and I am sure the chocolate is quite the same as a few years back. Now you mention it, I don't think I've seen the mini ones, except early on.

I don't think I have ever seen either of these here. Of course, I am not all that into sweets, so it is possible that I simply haven't looked for them.

Over here the supermarkets set them out so that you practically trip over them!
