A Bit of Excitement around Here

Our grandson just turned 12 years old and always loved ice hockey. He has been playing goalie in some top notch clubs in the New York and New Jersey areas for about four years now. He’s so good at it, and getting better, that he was invited to play in Innsbruck, Austria in May after practicing in Munich, Germany. His family will be going along for the fun and excitement. Included in the trip are visits to castles, sightseeing, hotels, meals, transportation, and airfare. Of course my son used his air miles to pay for himself, his wife, and the Ice Princess. This trip comes shortly after his tournaments in Chicago. He’s also playing with his town’s junior high team, made up of huge 7th and 8th graders, on his off days as their number one goalie! He’s only in 6th grade. We will get to see him in an upcoming game in Darien, Connecticut. Way to go kiddo!

So funny, right? What did your son think of ice/winter as he was growing up? Oh I'll bet they're excited! I know how hockey team families are . . . yah, that's a lot to deal with
