"Can You Feel the Love Tonight" was written by Elton John with lyrics by Tim Rice for Disney's "Lion King" and was released in 1994. In the movie, the song was sung by Nakawa and KIbibi. Elton felt like the song could convey the lions' feelings for each other much better than dialogue.
The song received an Academy Award for Best Original Song and a Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. "It's enough for this restless warrior just to be with you."
It was #1 in Canada and France and #1, #3 and #4 on the US charts.

I still can't believe I didn't get to go to his concert. That's so unfair! That's a very moving song by the way.

This song is such a good one by Elton....I never was a big fan of Elton but he does have some good songs!
