Took the Day OFF!

I decided to take the day off today. I slept until 10:30 and could have slept longer, but I knew we had things that needed to be done today.
Hubby wanted me to help in the storage shed, but he had gotten most of that done before I got up. We still have not unloaded his truck from our trip on Monday.
By the time I got us fed with a late brunch, and did a few things around the house, fed the animals, he was hungry and ready for lunch. I popped in a frozen lasagna for him and did a few things online.
I then went outside to get the chickens clean water and called in a couple of my medicines for refilling at the pharmacy. He called in his insulin and another one yesterday. By the time I realized it was getting late, it was already 5 pm. Our pharmacy closes at 6 so we had the discussion; "Don't you want to go pick up our meds?" I gave in and went and also stopped at the store for bread and milk.
I am glad I took the day off. I feel better and more relaxed. I also talked to our pastor from our Church in Louisiana and that picked up my mood a bit too.
I hope you had a nice day, as well! Did you? Tomorrow we will be finishing up with the clean out of the cargo trailer and heading back to the house in Louisiana.

Are you moving or are you truck drivers? Sounds like you did a bit of work after all.

We are getting the rest of our things out of our home in Louisiana that flooded in 2016. The house was gutted right after the flood but we have things in the attic and top shelves of closets, an antique safe that weighs 4,.000 lbs. and misc. other things. We have a purchase agreement signed for the house so it is get it now or never.

There are only about 795 people in the town nearest me. Very rural area. Staying open until 6 pm is late for this area. Most of the businesses close at 4:30 or 5. All food places close at 7 except one. Now on Saturday, the city rolls up at noon!

Today was a pretty good day. I think a day off is very deserved.

Oh, that’s a cute photo.
Yesterday I went to the confirmation for the son of my friends. I was completely lost in the liturgy (Roman Catholic), but I was so happy to be there for him and to see how big he’s gotten!
Watch out, the state bird of Louisiana (the mosquito) is probably out in full force now!

A day off but you still did some work. At least you got to stay home for most of it, but unfortunately home always has those little tasks as well as the big ones. I hope you got rested.
