Rose Trellis in the Garden

Spent most of the day searching for a trellis to support my roses. After the rainstorm a few days ago, I lost a branch of roses. They were getting very heavy. After many stores, finally found this one. It seems to work for now. The trellis is six feet tall. That tells you much the roses have grown. They are right in front of the bluebird house. Some birds had fledged today. Bluebirds will be hatching the eggs soon I hope. Hopefully they will have the yard to themselves. Photo is mine. You can see even after losing many, there are a lot of roses left on the bush.

That trellis looks like it's working and your roses are so pretty. It's a shame you lost so many after that rainstorm. It looks like you have a very big yard

@CarolDM sounds like a long day in search of your trellis but at least you found one that looks like it works. An acre of property is awesome!!

@Marilynda1225 Yes plus there were other things to get done as well. I really enjoy the big yard.

Thank you. It was a long day yesterday searching for it and getting it just right. About an acre, plenty of room.

I hope that the Trellis would serve your purpose for a long time to come. I wasn't aware that we call it "Trellis" - a new information for me !!

@CarolDM But if it is a technical word, then it might be the only one!

So beautiful! With all those roses, we'd never notice a branch fell. Glad you found a tall trellis that worked out. I'll bet the birds just love it there!!

@CarolDM Yay! Good thing they had one. It would be too much if you make your own I think.

@toniganzon I know, I was surprised it was so hard to find. I tried to make one and it just wasn't the same. I needed this sturdy metal one.

You've done a great job. It looks like a rose waterfall now that it is all up straight like that.

Your rosebush will appreciate having a trellis to cling to.

I had always thought that rose bushes were quite small, didn't realise they could grow that much

They are all sizes. Some prefer them as a bush, and keep them trimmed back close. Mine has grown to almost six feet tall now.

@CarolDM Did you have to dig the ground? How did you surround the plant.

@aninditasen It just went easy into the grass. Nothing had to be changed around it. Luckily the ground was a little soft.

Good job! Lovely shade of pink on those roses. My neighbor’s roses are more red than pink.
