It is chilly today

Because of the cooler temperature I have put a pot of chili on the stove to cook. I just washed Bob's favorite jacket. He wore it this morning. He is at the library helping out.. Cool weather often motivates me to cook. I have some bacon to cook up. I like to prepare it in the oven. So, on this chilly day we will eat chili while I have some bacon bakin'. I just cannot resist. It was over 90 F on Thursday and now I am told it is 53. Brrrrr.

I am looking forward to those chilly temps. They should be here by Monday or Tuesday, although doubtful we will be down to 53...although possibly at night.

I often get the urge to cook when the weather is cold. Hardly, ever at other times!

Wow, you were just about perfect in my book. I like 70's and 80's.

It's very hot here today but your chili and bacon sound really good. Hot or cold weather count me in for a meal like that

That is a drastic temp change. Chili is always good on a cool day as is bacon. I like to bake mine too.

I'm missing the library. I'm a former college librarian.

Do you ever go back and visit? Do you have city libraries?

We never went above 51F today. I always cook. Mostly at night so it doesn't heat the house up too much. I made spaghetti with garlic bread tonight.

When the weather is warm I cook early in the morning. We have turned off the heat for the summer so kitchen activity was welcome.

@GardenGerty Our house turns on heat or air, whichever is needed. It turned on heat last night.
