After doing my civic duty and voting, I went to the mall to watch the new Dr. Strange movie, 'Multiverse of Madness'. It was the first time to experience watching a movie in a cinema. I was pleasantly surprised that they already allowed sitting in the cinema next to each other. They also allowed eating and drinking in the cinema. It was full movie experience for me. Really makes you appreciate the small things in life. Pre-pandemic days, I would watch a movie every weekend if there was a movie that I was interested in. Anyway, the movie was great and it ushers the new phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I will not bore you with a movie review - let me just say that I'm a big Scarlet Witch fan and continue to do so after this movie. Also, this is clearly one of my top three Marvel movies alongside Black Panther and Thor Ragnarok. Have you recently watched a movie in a movie house? How was it?

I don't really like going to the movie theaters. For me it's uncomfortable to sit in those chairs for two hours or more which all the good movies run that long. We just watch them at home now. As for the new Dr Strange, I haven't seen it yet but I've heard mixed reviews about it already

@allen0187 I haven't really watched anything new lately. We watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of FIre last night and fell asleep to it

I haven't watched a movie in the cinema for ages. I think the last time I went it was to see The Bodyguard with Whitney Houston and Kevin Kostner.

I see. With movies being shown online for free, I understand why people don't go to cinemas at all.

@sharonelton sounds like a plan. Not sure if there are still DVDs being released.

I see on your ticket stub that the movie was rated Parental Guidance Recommended. Did you take one of your parents with you? I haven't been in a theater to watch a movie in at least 10 years. Pretty and I just quit going and I don't remember why. I do remember why we stopped buying movies. We can watch them for free online almost as soon as they come out in theaters. *shrug* Why bother driving 70 km to see a movie we can watch in the comfort of our home?

I have been able to watch movies online as well. More comfortable plus I can always pause or rewind the movie as a I please. I guess I missed the experience hence the reason I watched.

@allen0187 And you don't miss any of the movie just because you got busy doing other things while it was playing. (I always fell asleep part way through a movie in the theater. Pretty always offered to go ask the projectionist to start the movie again at the point where I fell asleep. ) I'm glad you enjoyed the experience.

We have free movies in the clubhouse in our village. We go most weeks but other than that haven't been to many movies. We used to go to the International Movie Festival when we lived in our other place. I'm glad you're able to go to the movies again now

Yup. Hard to imagine that something like movie watching in a cinema can be a big deal. This pandemic certainly changed a lot of things.

It's good you have watched that movie. My youngest son and his wife had watched in the big cinema in SM here in our capital city.

My wife has been bugging me for weeks that she wants to watch it too. I am still reluctant though but I think this one is a good movie to watch on a large screen. Maybe I should give in to her request and watch it now.
