Good evening from this side of the planet 
. It's 8 PM here as I write this post. It's been a pleasant weather here
and it's been so throughout the day. Though today was a bit warmer compared to the entire week. It's cloudy now with cold breeze and temperature has come down. We might or might not have the rain tonight.
Today is World's environment day and our apartment observed earth hour for an hour from 7 to 8 PM. We switched off all the lights and gadgets for an hour. Well, just a gesture to show that we value our environment and every little steps from saving electricity to saving water matters 
And that one hour was quiet and wonderful . We enjoyed the dark and it gave us a chance to have a family time together away from gadgets and also have a candle light dinner 
.
And it was an apt occasion for a candle light dinner. It's our 22nd Marriage anniversary. I had made an elaborate special lunch and we had the leftovers for dinner.
Twenty years of marital bliss and seven years of friendship before that, we are truly grateful to God.
Well, we just reminded ourselves that we had plans to celebrate this one in Morocco. But then Covid has ruined everything, the academic years are a bit out of time track and my elder daughter is busy writing exams that should have been over by April
And no to forget, our Thailand trip that was booked for 2020 has still not happened. And we still have our points from hotel and flight..we can use it anytime. Though not sure when. Maybe coming Christmas vacation if all goes well. .
We stayed indoors, enjoyed our home cooked meal and all the chit chat in the dark. So, it was a perfect anniversary though not the way we had planned for
Hope all is well in your mylot corner. I could not be much here today as I was busy enjoying my day with my family
Now, I will just try to catch up here as much as I can. I am back to work from Wednesday after two months of vacation. So, I will sleep on time to get back on track
Picture is of the home made sweets called besan laddoo. I made it today for our special day. And I was tempted to taste one and I am sure my sugars would be high. So, I am not checking it today. I will burn it with extra exercise tomorrow . My daughters can enjoy it for few days. They just love it.

I am happy to see you back here. You were missed.. I was just thinking about you being missing for so long. Here it's not hot at all. In fact it's cold and we don't need fan also for most part of the day.

@anil02 Yes, the activities here are not much. The site is slow. But I have been active here from second half of May and it's going good.
The school has started after summer vacation. We go to school from tomorrow.. I might not be that active here but I plan to come here daily for some time.
Hope you get some relief from the heat soon.
It's pleasant here as it has started raining daily.

We have not gone for a real vacation since the pandemic 
. We go to international destinations alternate year. But now all is off track.
My younger daughter has joined 11th grade and her classes start from 9 june. Elder one has her last paper of class 12th board exams left on June 13.

@averygirl72 It is made of roasted gram flour, sugar, and ghee ( clarified butter). It's yummy and even a good protein rich snacks for children and others who have sweet tooth.

Thank you Anna for your wishes.. It was a lovely day and so no complaints. Seeing the current situation we are not sure that when our vacation plans would be executed. Hopefully all goes back to normal everywhere and we feel safe to travel.

@LadyDuck Yes, the virus is still there . And I am still suffering from the long term effects.. One of my cousin got it despite being Full vaccinated. The symptoms were mild but even he complaints about long term effects. He is in the US and he feels that something has changed in his body . We can not undermine the virus. I would not like to have it even a mild one.
Due to the ongoing war, no one feels safe to travel to Europe right now.

Congratulations on your wedding anniversary. Twenty two years is indeed an achievement already. I am just sad to note that your travel plans were kind of disrupted these past few years because of the pandemic. Nevertheless, you found contentment in celebrating it at home intimately with your immediate family. I hope that you can finally go through your travel plans in the coming days.

Thank you for your wishes. We also wish for the same. With the current situation and commitments, it doesn't seem to be happening till Christmas vacation. Hopefully all is back to normal by then and we can go for vacation without the fear of the virus.

@arunima25 Same situation here. Because of the limits placed everywhere, we had to postpone long-distance journeys. We went to my father's house once last December, and when we returned in January, we had caught the virus. But we've recovered, and because we've been vaccinated, the effect on us was no longer as frightening; it was more like the usual flu.

@rsa101 I got the virus in between my two vaccine shots. I was mostly asymptomatic with severe headache and no other symptoms. But the virus lefte weak and tired. And even after a year, I am not yet back to my energy levels.. It's a mysterious virus and one needs to stay away from it

I have not added any food colour there. It's roasted gram flour and so it's naturally of that colour.

Happy anniversary! It's good you got to enjoy your day with your family. Times like these may be rare for many..
And I'm impressed, you do save energy by doing that. we don't do that and we even hate it when there are electricity shortages.
I know it's because it's a big city and having no electricity is Calvary, with no water as well, while the weather is humid and hot.

It was Environment day and we do it every year on this day. You are right surviving without electricity and water for a short time too is not easy. But since this one is pre-planned we enjoy it.. Also the weather here is perfect and cool..
