This week I will have to go to the Boost kiosk (formerly Virgin Mobile) and swap out my phone. It no longer is compatible with the new technology. I'm going to get a basic flip phone; but it will have a camera on it which will be nice. Hubs needs to go get blood drawn before his doctor's appointment next week. That's all that's going on this week. How about you? Breakfast - No breakfast Lunch - Chicken nuggets and potato salad Dessert/Snack - Donut and decaf coffee Dinner - Raspberry yogurt. Later on I had some Knorr pasta and broccoli. What did you have to eat yesterday? Photo Credit: Pixabay

Technology changes so fast that the new phone I got in October is already 'old' and I'm receiving offers to upgrade

I wanted a good camera and since my old samsung was damaged I just bit the bullet and got the iphone 12 pro max, it has a really nice camera which I use more than any other feature on it.

@rebelann Is it easy to download the pictures? Having trouble downloading pix from my husband's phone.

This was the change from 3G to 5G. My phone won't work with the new network at all. Otherwise I wouldn't be upgrading. I don't use my phone often enough to make it worthwhile.

@jobelbojel I like the taste of their roasted chicken, much more added with a free liver sauce.

I hope you were able to accomplish the phone swap. The potato salad sounds good.

We had to upgrade phones last year. At least they were free

Yup. Mine is free as long as I go to the kiosk. They won't do it free by mail.

No one to call so I have no mobile phone but when I need to call and message I use Textnow over the Internet

I have it just for emergencies when I drive -- which isn't often.

We are going to get our second boosters on Wednesday and with luck I'll get a flu shot too. Then Friday I'm playing Canasta with friends. Seeing I don't really know how to play, it should be a lot of fun!

We are holding off on the second booster for now. I don't know how to play Canasta either. Have fun!

I made a pork loin roast in the crock pot with some Dixie Dirt rub and Worcestershire sauce with carrots, onions and potatoes tossed in. Delicious. Served it with a little bit of Lille's barbecue sauce. As for the flip-phone, I did not know that the Smithsonian had a retail store.

Sounds yummy. Ha ha! I don't need one of those $800 phones to make 6 calls a year!

@LindaOHio I agree with you. But of course my phone is company issued and I have one of those jobs where I need my phone to do a lot.

How fast is the technology, you have to buy the latest model so you don't have to change it next year!

I haven't changed phones in years. This is for the new 5G network. My old phone won't work at all anymore with the new technology.
