While out at my appointment and getting things done the other day, I snapped this photo from inside the car.
Taking the back roads are a good choice. Less traffic and nice views. Many new homes are being built but there are still a lot of farms and scenic views for now.
Enjoying the little things makes my day. A warm sunshine day after another rain shower overnight. The humidity is keeping me inside for now.
I hope your day is going well.
Photo is mine.

Yes such scenic views always make our day.
The Farms look quite big and was the weather pleasant or on the cooler side?

Oh that is a very tough situation.
Rains in the last 2/3 days helped us else the Heat and humidity was challenging us a lot!

We have the same country roads here too and it's so much nicer to take the scenic route rather than the highways.
Your picture reminds me of the song "take me home country roads"

@CarolDM I love the country! a lot of farms around here are being sold and homes built on the land. I just hope it doesn't become over-populated and we lose the country atmosphere. The community where I live was once a farm and many of my neighbors are from other states and not locals

@Marilynda1225 This is a beautiful part of the state. Sadly there are more homes, huge homes being built each time I travel this road.

Nice view, so serene. My day ok. Dusting day, got half done. Holiday weekend, King Kamehameha Day June 11, Friday a day off locally. No mail, no libraries, State & I believe County closed Friday. 11th floral parade with festivities, so crowds. Monkey pox has arrived at Oahu too. I'm staying in till next week.

We didn’t have any humidity today. Absolutely perfect weather.
I prefer the back roads, too. I love to take US25 on the way to the Smokies. Beautiful scenery, less traffic, and those informational signs point the way to things for me. That’s how I found Kingdom Come State Park a couple of years ago.

I love driving back roads, and try to take the scenic route every chance I get. So much more relaxing, and much less stressful. And so many less idiot drivers! Haha

I love taking the back way-or country roads as you refer to.
So much more fun.
Its a nice view too.
When we were young and radio reception was just hit and miss, driving down the country roads, we'd sing at the top of our lungs to cassette tapes, and the way we sang, we were glad that we were on the back roads.

I would always prefer to take a scenic route than the ones with busy city life and huge traffic. Sadly, I don't have any here that we get in our daily commutation. We have to step out of city to get such scenic roads on highways.
