Ruby Spider Lily Has Bloomed

First thing I saw this morning were my Ruby Spider Lily blooms in the front garden. Have been watching these for a few days now. Today they have bloomed. Each day I will see a new bloom, like the day lilies. These blooms are almost twice the size of the day lilies. Today I have four blooms to enjoy. Four plants in the front were planted years ago. Each year they return. Little things to enjoy on this Sunday. And Father's Day of course. Was visited by a red cardinal earlier in Dustin's garden. He visited the bird bath. My Dad visits often in my mind. Lost him in 2017 actually. He loved the "red birds" as he referred to the cardinals. Butterflies will be here soon to visit the blooms and nectar as well. A lot to look forward to this time of year. Photo is mine.

I love the color. How long do the lilies last? I lost my father in 2016.
