What to do?

Hubby’s grandma wants us to pick her up from her summer home in PA and drive her home to NYC because she has something in the mail that needs to be filled out and mailed back.
We went there last week to help her with stuff. It takes over two hours to drive to her. I don’t really wanna do that and hubby doesn’t seem to wanna do that either. I hope he won’t cave in.
We can just get the mail for her and fill it out ourselves. Not sure if she will like that idea though.
Also, I bet if we go get her, soon after she will want a ride back to the summer home. We can’t just keep driving back and forth.
Not sure what the right move is. Don’t want to hurt her feelings.

I would tell her I don't have the time to drive up there now, maybe in a few weeks or a month. Then suggest getting it and filling it out for her. See if she'll agree then.

@DaddyEvil I hope hubby won’t be asked to drive her next time. She also has another grandson (hubby’s brother) that can potentially drive her. But he has a German Shepherd and she is afraid to have the dog around her cat. Also she doesn’t like how he drives. I’m surprised she is okay when hubby drives. I don’t like his driving. Constantly switching lanes and having the need for speed.

Hubby told her he wasn’t sure if he’d be able to make it and asked her if maybe we can fill out the form for her but she said she really needed to come home. He decided to go there. At first I wasn’t sure if I’d go but then decided to go too. Didn’t wanna be alone. Good thing is that his grandma isn’t going back there for at least two weeks. And then maybe his dad will drive her.

Last week we went there Wednesday night after hubby came home from work and we ate dinner. We stayed all of Thursday. Since we were helping grandma with stuff he did a lot of driving there as well. It wasn’t really a relaxing time.

If she said she wants to go home for a bit that would be a different story. But to go there just to pick her up so she can fill out what she needs to fill out doesn’t make sense.

That is a long trip especially with the price of gas these days. Maybe you can send her the mail she's looking for?

Mail doesn’t come to her summer home. Like, as far as I know can’t send mail there.

She needed to go home and she is not planning on going back to PA for at least a few weeks so we went to get her. Came Wednesday night and then helped her get her stuff together next day and drove her home.

At least a two-hour drive there to her summer home and even longer to get to her house from it. That’s why we went Wednesday night.
