Bitty and I are hanging out

It is not quite lunch time and we are hanging out in the office with air conditioning. I am flea treating the rooms one by one. Bitty is not to go in the rooms I have done until it has dried, the bottle says. That is okay. If I am with her she is happy. Normally I do not use poisons in the house, but this one is supposed to kill fleas for a year, as well as ants, spiders and roaches to name a few other things. I sprayed at the bottoms of all the appliances, and also around the front door in the dining room, and the two back doors. Oh, and the windows and window sills in the dining room. Bitty is happy as long as she can be with me, except that I took her for a short ride in the car. I was hoping she would learn to like it. Lady seemed not to mind. I did not spray around the feeding area, but to be safe they will get fresh food and water in clean dishes. That will be good for them.

I never use poisons in my house or yard but then I don't usually get fleas or ticks in the house and I use Diatomaceous earth around the yard. So far I've been lucky enough that Roscoe hasn't brought in any teeny kritters.

It rains so much the diatomaceous earth washes away. I have heard of using lime pellets also for things in the yard.

@rebelann Me too. I certainly prefer more natural repellants.

They were not a problem until I rescued Bitty. She had more than her share of fleas.

I don`t like to use poisons in the house. I just make sure that I use some lemon scent to kill bad odor and bacteria

I do not like to use artificial scent. I do use things that are natural orange and lemon.

@m_audrey6788 I save my citrus peels and put them in jars of white vinegar. It cleans really well.

This seems to be a very effective product. I am not seeing fleas, or ants, which have been bad this year. I also hope to eradicate the Japanese ladybugs that bite and come inside in the winter. I have slowed them down but still see them time to time.

It is easier to get done with hubby in the hospital. I can wreck the entire place.

If I am going to have house pets, I have to deal with the fleas, and this year the ants have been awful.

That sounds a really good idea to treat the house for fleas. I hope it helps.

Mom used to put salt on the floors and leave it and I am sure it helped. I just want to be done with them. And ants.
