Bob needs some stuff and more books. I am headed out to Wichita this morning.
I will leave as soon as I have eaten breakfast.
Hopefully I will be there for rounds.
Rumor has it he will be sent home Monday, but when he is I am sure he is going to need to get set up with the local hospital for outpatient IV antibiotics. It feels overwhelming, but will be better when he is close.
The big cats have been in and eaten. They spend most of the day in shady areas around the yard. Bitty snuck out when Tinker came in, but she came back when I did not chase her.
I am pretty hungry now and need to go eat and run. See you later in the day.

@LadyDuck Yes, it made him grumpy. He likes having his own bed, his cats, his own food and is happy to be able to see me, and take a nap if he needs it.

I am hoping this is part of what was stressing his kidneys. They have been better while he has been in the hospital.

@RebeccasFarm Since all the toxins from everywhere have to filter through the kidneys I just feel like this has been part of the problem.

@paigea The PICC line makes the antibiotics go in faster. With the regular IV in his hand it took 4 hours. With the PICC line into a large vein it only takes a half hour. He drives to the clinic once a day.

@CarolDM Saturday the doctor said "Tuesday" then Monday afternoon Bob called saying they were getting his paperwork ready. Never a dull moment.

We finally got him home Monday night. Part of the reason it was so hard on him is that although he has this infection that is hard to treat, he felt really too healthy to be in a hospital. They needed him there for all the tests, though.
