Tragedy In Norway

A man was charged with “terrorism” Saturday during a late-night shooting in central Oslo, Norway that left two people dead and at least 21 injured among them 10 seriously. An LGBTQI+ march was scheduled for Saturday but was cancelled following the fatal attack, which hit two bars, including one gay club. The attacker was a 42 year old Norwegian of Iranian origin. Due to this the security services in Norway are treating this as an attack of “Islamist terrorism.” They have also noted the suspect’s issues with mental health and he has a long history of violence and threats. The shooting started at 1:00 AM outside the Per pa hjornet Pub at which two death were reported. The attacker then moved on to an adjoining gay club, the London Pub in downtown Oslo. There are thoughts that this might also have been a hate crime. There are rainbow flags place near the scene of the attack as a sign of solidarity. One witness said the scene looked like a “war zone” with many injured people on the ground with head injuries.

@RasmaSandra .......That's right. I wish people would just live and let live. We all have a right to do just that. If some aren't happy with others they need to stay away from them or go live off the grid.

Oh yes I read about that. And they say it only happens here in the USA. No it does happen in other countries too.

That's sad. Some people hate the LGBTQ community but they forget that they are also human beings. Such issues make us think that how much hatred people have for others.

WHAT? Shootings don’t happen in other countries, just America! (Or that’s what they tell us, anyway.) I’m so sorry to hear this. A couple of weeks ago an alert citizen stopped a “Proud Boys” group heading to a gay pride event in Idaho, with (authorities say) intentions of disrupting it (at the least). I wish someone had been as alert there.

@RasmaSandra It's usually because they are unhappy with their own!

@GreatMartin life was meant to be enjoyed no matter what and everyone has a right to do what makes them happy. It really makes me mad when people will not let people just live their lives,
