A Nice Long Holiday Weekend

It's July 1st and Happy Friday Everyone!
I'm just finishing my coffee and have some things I want to do today but had to pop on and say hi before I get distracted.
I already feel as if the morning is rapidly slipping away and next thing I know it will be dinner time. I took out chicken and it's defrosting so I have time to decide how I want to cook it. Instead of trying to come up with some great idea maybe its just best to throw it on the barbecue and keep it simple.
It's going to be very hot today so I really don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen nor have to put the oven on.
No big plans for this holiday weekend.

No plan for the weekend cause weather is bad. We have strong wind and heavy rain due to a tropical typhoon nearby.

how you think having a long weekend? pls tip? cuz I always feel like weekends are just passing by.

Yeah, we are going back to the mountains again. The weather looks very nice there. It should be a good time, although it might be a bit crowded being a holiday weekend.Not actually leaving until the 4th.

My cousin told us to come over and bring a pack of hot dog buns and hamburger buns. So we will be going over there.

@Marilynda1225 It’s a nice inn we’re at. We each have our own patio. There are 2 gathering areas outside with barbecues and a covered area with toasters where you can plus in a slow cooker or hot plate. Like camping but with bed, showers and air conditioning. It’s a newer place and they have no restaurant on site but plenty really close by.

Enjoy your time away!! I'm sure it's nice to get away from work and have a long weekend. Guarantee I'll be hearing lots of fireworks over the weekend even though our official holiday isn't until Monday.

@Marilynda1225 - July usually is the hottest month here. The mornings are still nice, if we avoid to go out in the afternoon it's not a bad weather.

It's pretty hot here today and look like tomorrow will be too. It's July so guess we can't expect it not to be hot but at least you have a pleasant breezy day today

I'm doing something fun but not too celebrate the holiday per se, but to have time with extended family. I just found out that a niece that's coming to visit with her husband is pregnant and due in the next couple of months.

No weekend here as I have to go to work this Sunday also. I had some plans but all failed.
My brother-in-law was asking me to come to their place as they had a plan to the hills for this weekend and there they wanted to do rafting there in the river. My kids also wanted to go but could not.
