Blame, Blame, Blame

I will never understand it. Why the democrats simply cannot admit they screwed up? I mean, no one wants to screw up. But it happens. The best thing to do in a situation like that is to own up to it, learn by it, and change what you do. I'm talking about gas prices. Of course I am. Because it is such a large part of the inflation that is ongoing. Not all of the reason. But a big part of the ongoing pain. We all know the 'why.' At least those of us who are willing to admit it. Gas prices began to climb sharply almost the minute Biden became the president. And that happened because within hours of taking his oath, he reversed Trump's energy policies and cut off the oil supply immediately and shut down the Keystone XL pipeline. Less supply, higher prices. It's not rocket science. But all the administration can do is blame Putin. Even though gas prices were up 50% before Putin invaded Ukraine. They then went out and blamed the oil companies for gouging the American people—a case for which there is no evidence. NOW they are out blaming the GAS STATIONS. In fact, the story they are trying to sell is actually quite ridiculous, but that's for another day. If you can't admit you are wrong, you will never be able to find the RIGHT position. And therefore gas prices will remain high and the American people will continue to struggle at the pump. In order to find a solution that works you need to understand the problem. Of course we know where Biden got the blame game from. Obama was a master of it. Anybody seen Obama in the White House hanging around by the way? Seems he may be back to finish destroying the country.

The Keystone XL pipeline was never going to benefit American gas prices.

Then explain Trump's gas prices compared to Obama's and now Biden's. You do not know what you are talking about.

@NJChicaa Do I need to explain this to you again? When Trump opened drilling and approved the pipeline, approved federal land leases and so on and so forth, the United States became the #1 supplier of oil to the world. TO THE WORLD. #1. This created a MASSIVE influx of oil to the the supply. It took away the power of OPEC and other oil producing nations to dictate what the supply would be. And it therefore massively reduced the cost of gas. Presidents to not dictate nor control oil prices. But their policies DO. If you shut down oil production and reduce the supply...the price goes up. It is not rocket science. This is why gas under Obama was $4 a gallon. It is why gas under Trump was $2 a gallon. And it is why gas under Biden is $5 a gallon. Go back to Carter and tell me what HE did and what his policies created. Presidents DO affect supply and demand and supply and demand DOES affect the price. If presidents do not influence gas prices, why is there such a stark difference in gas prices under presidents with vastly different energy policies?

everything is going so expensive. And even water and electricity bills. Earlier this morning my dad is watching news and they announced that it is possible to increase the bill price. in electricity and water

Everything seems to be going up these days. Some price increases are ridiculous.

@DevMrSamEleazar You go to the grocery store, don't buy much, but end up spending a lot of money.

Petrol and gas prices are increasing almost everywhere in the world. Maybe the demand for it has increased so high.

It IS a world problem. But that is in part because after Biden reversed the U.S. energy policies Trump laid out that made the U.S. a leading supplier of the world's oil, taking power away from other oil producing countries and OPEC to control the supply—they got their power back and that affects the entire world.

Gas prices are ridiculously high and I think Biden is to blame.

@porwest here sometimes the price in a certain gas station is lower than in others but they may be out of gas. Happened more than once at one where hubby usually fills up.

@lovebuglena I have not experienced anyone out of gas yet. But it might be just the next thing. Gas may come down just a wee bit short term—but by nothing Biden is doing, but rather because demand is falling as people park their cars a bit longer.

There is no other explanation, no matter how much effort the left will make to spin the story. The American people know better. The price of gas rests entirely on Biden' shoulders and are the direct result of Biden policy.
