Can You Handle It?

Can you have a full time job and still make a meaningful contribution to Mylot and similar sites? Those members who have careers and hold down 9 to 5 jobs should find it difficult to spend much time here - except maybe on weekends. I am my own boss and l work from home , but l still find it difficult at times. I can't imagine being on three or more other sites . How do you handle working full time and being here? Or is Mylot and other sites your full time job? Pixabay image.

I have a full time job and sometimes it is difficult to have time to work online, even though I manage to visit some sites everyday.

@Kandae11 I also have two kids that still need me a lot so my time out of work is shorter, sometimes I only have time at night after putting them into the bed.

It is nice not having to rush around. You can take your time to for whatever you want to do.

Whenever I have free time , I go here. And wanted to post every day and comment/interact. But the time is not cooperating, there were days that I missed. So my goal is not achieving. But I go here because I like learning other things from other people.

I agree it is difficult to be here full time when you have a job.

I am retired so I go from site to site all day. I try to spend the same amount of time on each site.

I do the 9-5 Monday to Friday grind, and I find that there are days that I cannot get to the site. But usually I do have a little bit of time in the early mornings to read and I enjoy that.

@Kandae11 Yes, I work those hours but I find this the 'quality' time of the day where I can relax and enjoy. It helps with my well being, as I still work from home here and need the interaction.

I doubt I could. I can’t keep up here just with my family and not working outside the home.

Well this doesn't apply to me, as I haven't worked full time for years. However, it will be interesting to hear what the others say.

I don't think I'd be able to be here if I was working full-time. I guess it depends if you have other commitments or work outside of work hours.

Working a 9 to 5 job and spending lots of time here would be difficult.

I agree it would be extremely difficult. I guess it depends on your objective too. If you're trying to make payout each month, I think it would be very challenging. If your goal is to communicate with others and have a good time, with no consideration of how much money one can make, then with proper budgeting of time it becomes much easier to do.

I agree, it all depends on one's objective. Some of us are here simply to socialize.

I'm retired so I'm not sure. I think it would be hard especially if you had kids.
