Can you think of anything "unique" about yourself?

I was just responding to comments on my own and others' posts, and started thinking about how each of us is unique in our interests and abilities. Can you think of some things that are unique about you? Here are a couple that are unique about me. * I started putting milk on my jello when I was about 10. I still do. * I teach children as young as 1 1/2 to play catch. * I don't care for cats but I am owned by a cat. * I watch airplane crash videos. * I don't read music that well, but I can hear virtually any melody and play it on the piano. * I don't read as much as I should, but when I read a book, I remember what it "said." * When I hike with friends, I sometimes frustrate them because I like to find pretty spot and just take in everything I see, hear, feel, and smell. * I enjoy taking a good dump. * My personality does not change much when I drink alcohol. * I am a terrible artist, but I take good photographs. * I am a good athlete, but a terrible swimmer. Can you think of things that make you "unique"?

You are certainly unique. I like cool, eccentric people and those who are good sports.

Putting milk on jello isn’t as weird as it sounds. After all, what is whipped cream but milk with a serious attitude? (Not to mention double the calories.) Everything about me is unique. We’re ALL unique. As for the “weird” thing, that would be my music tastes. You don’t see a lot of people with an iPod that goes from the Delmore Brothers to AC/DC on shuffle.

We used to put milk on jello when I was a kid. Now, I don't eat jello at all unless I am sick.

We share the latter weirdness. I can go from Bach to Zappa in an instant.

You're right. Whipped cream as basically milk with attitude, plus a bit of sugar sometimes.

@TheHorse Looks like white jello! Milk, sugar, vanilla added to unflavored gelatin. Goes well with red and blue jello . . . for July 4th .

Well, we all are unique and sometimes weird. I like to watch "total failure" videos and hair disaster videos. I am not a good athlete but I can walk for hours. I have never been drunk, no matter how much I drank. When I enter a room I can remember everything there was in the room, this is something that always surprises my friends.

They are all interesting to know. I am unique in my own way. Forgetting and forgiving comes very natural to me. I believe more in giving than receiving. I often say to people that I don't keep a personal account with anyone but have account with life on a larger picture. That's why I am a happy person

@TheHorse Thank you. Forgetting is definitely a tough one. I put a conscious effort on that. Still learning and trying to improve. I know that it doesn't help keeping bad memories alive. They cage us and definitely are a big hindrance in many things in life.

Hmm. I do not think of myself as unique, but I know I am. I know how to work with people that others call mentally ill, or mentally handicapped. When I listen to someone, I like to really HEAR what they say. Love that mental connection. Sometimes I instinctively KNOW STUFF but I am not sure how. Stuff like the name of plants, both wild and domestic. Sometimes I sing songs in my head all night, and weak up singing in the morning. Church songs, anthems, hymns and choruses. Is that unique enough for you?

Do you know when to say "nothing"? I would never say (to a music student), "You can't sing, you cant play, and you smell like a homeless person."

I inherited my sensitivity to the world beyond from my family and I can contact those who have passed on, I got my poetic talent from my dad, and sometimes when my fingers fly over the keyboard when inspired to write a poem I believe my dad is doing the writing, I can speak and understand both English and Latvian, when I was a child I loved to have strawberry short cake with buttermilk, There are probably other things but this is what came to mind now,

Is stitching hard on your hands? I have arthritis, but my "style" of playing guitar and piano is not hard on my hands.

@TheHorse It's not the hands. It's my eyes that grows red and so I avoid stitching. I had arthritis which I cured through yoga.

It's an interesting discussion. Uniqueness is not uniqueness, until you own it; otherwise you remain in sameness, afraid to live your uniqueness openly. My uniqueness is not unique enough to stand out to me as uniqueness....so l cannot think of anything worth adding here. Some uniqueness is learnt from others unique activities, which we like, and so carry it on ourselves then too. My Uncle used to like drinking milk, as he ate fish and chips, and l like to do that too. Some uniqueness is physical too. I have a faulty sphincter muscle, or valve, in my digestive system, in the oesophagus, which allows food to come back up again into my mouth, to be chewed over again, like a cow chews its cud. My stomach is also sensitive, and this fault serves me at times too. There are times, where I have swallowed a bit of gristle, a lemon seed, or even one time, a piece of glad-wrap plastic, and after a few hours, and sometimes even, it is the next day, the offending piece will come up into my mouth again, and I take it out. I was walking my dog, the next day once, and this piece of plastic came up. I must have consumed a piece of the wrapping, around my bread roll, that been packed for my lunch, at work, the day before.

I really don't know what is "unique" about me. I don't watch airplane crashes because I have become afraid to fly. I am also a terrible artist but take good photos. I am good at doing detail work, including accounting. I absolutely ADORE dogs. I would adopt all the dogs in a shelter if I could. I've met several celebrities. I am a 60s and 70s music freak (not unique). I would open a disco if I could and attract all of the Baby Boomers. I'm a decent actress and always wanted to pursue this professionally. I enjoy playing video games when I'm in the mood for them. I used to read voraciously; but I'm on a hiatus from reading. I love to cook but I am no longer able to stand or walk enough to partake in my hobby. I used to drive everywhere but I'm now afraid to drive or even to ride as a passenger. I think that's enough for now!!! Oh yeah, and I hate raw onions!

That’s my question actually past few days. And I guess for me it’s being overthinking even in a small things. To other it is easy to handle the things but for me sometimes I’m overwhelming and overthink how to hold the thinks properly.
