Dermatology Date

I had a date with a dermatologist today and it was not a fun date. I had to fill out blukoos of papers before I could go back to the waiting room. One heavy lady was sitting there asleep. She kept sliding and I was afraid she would fall out of her chair. She didn’t while I was there and she had left when I came back I had nothing seriously wrong but I did have pre cancers the doctor froze. Three on my face, two on my neck, and one on my arm. It’s painful but not as bad as cutting. I was thankful to get out of the building with nothing worse. Hope all my friends on Mylot had a good day.

Ah, my husband has had those spots frozen off too. I don't know how people can fall asleep in waiting rooms - I guess I am too self conscious. Glad you made it through the appointment!

I don’t see how they fall asleep either. But she was really sawing logs.

@much2say Actually she was. I hope the woman was okay. I was concerned and wondered if an ambulance should be called to carry her to emergency.

I feel okay. It’s just a quick burn. Have you had them frozen?

@kaylachan If It’s already turned into cancer they cut it out. I’ve had several cut out. If caught early enough they can be frozen off. They call it frozen but actually it’s burned.

Its too bad that the there was so much paperwork to finish, but better that then having anything too awfully painful done. I'm glad that you got out easy and didn't fall asleep in the waiting room.

I usually have a few frozen off at every visit. I’ve also had some cut out. Frozen is better.

I have had some small growths frozen years ago, but it was not as effective as I wanted. I am sure you are healing nicely by now.

Glad it was nothing worse. I had the Dr. check a mysterious mole on my chest today. But then the damn thing just woke up and scampered off. Just kidding. The Dr. said it was nothing to worry about.

That’s always good to hear. I can forget it until January. I hate these appointments but they’re necessary.

Glad you didn’t need anything more than freezing. My brother needed freezing and cutting on his face. I would never be able to fall asleep in any public space. That must have been a hilarious sight to see

@RubyHawk That would have been awful if she fell out of her chair and got hurt. Hope she doesn’t fall asleep often.

So much paperwork is always required on an initial doctor visit. I guess they need more than an insurance card. Also wait times can be quite long for specialists. Glad no cutting was involved.
