A good end of the day. A second post after one was deleted. / myLot

I had written a lot about my feeling much better. I will not repeat it. I also wrote about my intentions of sewing rice bags that can be heated in the microwave oven. But I will tell more about it when I trully make it. I started to think about it after I bought today gas for the heaters. It has gone UP!!! And with my need to save, I will heat myself the way people did it decades ago (or centuries ago). It is now a little past midnight and I will call it a day. Sleep tight, friends. See you

@marguicha When we use our bed heater we turn it very low but do leave it on all night. It is better than heating the whole house, that is for sure. Saves money and does help you sleep well.

I've read that people had bed warmers and put coals in a pan on a stick and stuck it under the covers for a while to get it toasty. But your way would work just as good.

We had a long walk yesterday, through the woods. I have seen many pieces of tree branches and small logs broken by the wind. I think I am going to collect to burn in the fireplace for the coming winter.

I haven´t had a fireplace for decades. Now it is forbidden here to heat a house with logs.

@marguicha - We had to install special filters for the fireplace. I was very tempted to close it, now I am glad we installed the filters, at least we have something to heat the house if Russia will stop sending natural gas.

Some used to heat stones in the open fires then wrap them up to warm the beds. I wouldn't want to do that though.

In the winter I usually use an electric blanket. My daughter prefers a heated mattress pad. Both help a lot to keep warm in the really cold weather. Electric rates have gone way up here.

I have a heated mattress pad and a feather blanquet. I don´t sleep with the electric mattress on though. I don´t dare.
