I live in a different town away from my kids . It hurts and I miss them terribly . I call them every day to know how they're doing.
Today morning when I called my son he asked why am speaking just the same way . Because he knows at the coastal region in kenya there's a way they speak, and I haven't adjusted to that . I just laughed. He's a fun boy to be around with

It's horrible I know yea but am planning on going back and do something else financial constraints is a stumbling block now it's hectic

We also have dialects in Italy, the daughter of my cousin (who lives in another Italian region) when I phone she calls her Mom saying "it's your cousin, the one who speaks differently from us".

I can understand how hard it is to not live close to your kids and how you must miss them. At least you call them every day so you keep in contact. Your son does sound like he's fun.

What dialect does he want you to speak? Has he learned any other dialect of Kenya? I miss my sons too but can't disturb them often as they are busy with their work.
