Good day fellow myLotters. It is Wednesday here in my part of the world. Woke up later than usual and woke up very hungry. So after having my oatmeal, I decided to have brunch. Not going to lie, I have nothing to cook in my fridge since I mostly eat out. Went out across to the stores that sell home-cooked food. Decided to have fried fish and eggplant. The fish is tilapia, not sure if you guys are familiar with it. Anyway, also got some shrimp paste, the spicy variety for the eggplant. Also got some diced unripe mangoes. Of course, with rice because why not? Needless to say, I ate a lot. What is everyone else having today?

I just read about Patricia cooking some tilapia. Maybe we call it something else here.

From the picture you uploaded, I see there some similarities between your meal and Indonesian meals in general. Today, my wife bought freshwater fish, chilly, and other ingredients.

I’ve never seen a fish served like this. They are always skinned and deboned.

This morning, weather was permitting for shopping. Si had 2 waffles slathered with blueberry & strawberry jam. Got ready and went shopping. Dilly dallied a bit too long at Ross dept store, Senior Discount day. Flew home. Went to Marukai Wholesale Mart for bitter melon and miso in dressing and plums- made dinner.
