It All began on Triond

Triond, now that's a name not many here on myLot will remember. Maybe @xFiacre and @RubyHawk go back that far to the writing beginnings I remember personally. If there are others I've known that long, please forgive me for not remembering. My days writing for that site started over 15 years ago. They were good days, but what happened next was an explosion. Of course many of you here remember Bubblews. They were heady days, never quite matched by me again in output or income. But, you know the saying, If it seems too good to be true it probably is. And so, the bubble burst. Now, for me, it's no longer about the output or income, but about moments shared, the companionship a site like myLot can provide. Here I can meet with friends made over the years, usually with a cup of coffee at my side. Some of you here have become almost like family, hence my need to return after such a long break. So, here I am again, not quite bouncing, but definitely re-energized. And to think it all started on Triond, so long ago.

I loved Triond. We had many good friends there, then as you said it was all over and on to Bubblews. Wasn’t that a piece of cake? The best online earnings I’ve had. I believe it was Belle Star who directed me to Mylot about eight years ago and many of my Triond and Bubblews friend are here. Also I forgot to mention Expertscolumn . Some of us were there off and on. Welcome back Val. It’s good to see you.

@valmnz I wrote on several other sites but can’t remember now. Triond was my favorite although Bubblews was a terrific earner.

Some Ten odd years ago, I too tried Triond. But it was not something I ever felt comfortable with. Yes, Bubblews was a big plus but at times, there were some payments in between that went missing. Anyways, we are here for having Refreshing discussions and having some De-Stressing sessions here.

I have never been on Triond, I was on Squidoo first and then on Bubblews and I remember you very well when we both were on Bubblews. I still remember how outraged you were when they discriminated all "non American" users. That was the signal that the bubble was going to burst. I am here because there are still many friends from that site.

@valmnz Ah, Triond! I think yourself and Ruby Hawk are perhaps the only people I remember from Triond, though maybe @maluse was there too. It was yourself who brought me from Bubblews to Mylot.

I do remember my time spent on Triond, it was my favorite writing site:) That's where I met RubyHawk and JenniferD, they became my very special friends, about 15 years ago. As for Bubblews, yah I joined and hook line and sinker, went down with the ship. I forfeited over $150, never saw a penny. They just basically closed down, at the expense of their members. Expertscolumn, I wrote for that site about five years, it was fun!

! I wasn't on Triond but I recall hearing about it way back when. I think we met at the B place . . . and then many migrated here after the bubble burst. I was actually here, on myLot, before that . . . and before that I came from Yahoo! Answers.

I began with Bubblews and left shortly after I started because that was when they were starting to tank. Another myLotter suggested that I come here that I wouldn't like it that I would just love it, and she was right, and here I am with no regrets and still having a good time.

I didn't really get caught by Bubblews so don't feel too strongly about them. They were certainly good days at the time.

I had a good time with Associated content and I really enjoyed those few years there. I was on triond for a very short time. It hurts when good sites shut down. You feel that vacuum.

I think I signed up there and never did anything. I have been here since 2006. Bubblews I knew was too good to be true but I tried. I was on Gather, and a few other places half heartedly.I always come back here.

For me, it was Associated Content over twelve years ago. Then Yahoo took over to make it Yahoo Contributor Network. Bukisa and Wikinut followed only to close shop. The latter promised life time earnings! I remember you from Wikinut, if I am not mistaken. I was not in Bubblews but that was the best paying site from what I hear. Yes, it is more to enjoy and partake in the discussions here.
