The hospital in which my health insurance pays part can schedule an appointment in October. SAY WHAT???
I will have to go again to the doctor (4th visit and 4th time I pay) to say what can I do next. I might need to have that test done in another hospital and that will be VERY expensive.
After this post I´ll try to get an appointment with my doctor soon. The last antibiotic he gave me was very strong but did nothing to my ears and nose. I wonder if it is a sinus problem. I´ll sugest that to him to see if we can choose another path.
The knee MRI is scheduled for the day that Camila can take me. I´ll have that done and after that we will go to eat Arab food, my treat. I must remember to buy some small delicious assortment of Arab sweets to send to Violeta, Camila´s daughter. We might steal a couple though

@Deepizzaguy Thank you. If I can get some place where they can made the exam soon, I´ll pay for it, pay for the air fare in installments and save on groceries more. I don´t have to eat salami to be happy

I went to a specialist and I have the order for this test. Only at the hospital where I pay less they caný have that test done until October I´ll now check how much it costs to have it done elsewhere.

I have an appointnpent to do that (they called it "procedure" so it is more expensive) elsewhere, where I have to pay it from my own pocket. So be it. I want to know as much as I can what can be done before I go.

@LadyDuck This is not the doctors. It is the health system that was installed when Pinochet was a dictator by the rich. There was a great uproar in my country in 2019 and among other problems we are now fighting this. I still don´t know why it took 30 years for the governments to realise that this had to be done. Only in 2019 did the government discovered that Chilean had the power to do more than just go to vote

Can you not just call your doctor to ask him what next, instead of paying for another appointment with him? It seems like you should be able to leave a message and a nurse will call you back with the doctor's response. I avoid doctor appointments all the time by doing that. (I hope that works for you there. Good luck!)
Hmm... I just made a ham, cheese and potato bread sandwich with a bit of mayo. I could make one for you, too.

hope you can find some solution to this with your doctor. Just to give you something to smile about, my kittens had their own ear test today. My apartment is very quiet so usually, there is very little noise, I put on some music this afternoon and the kittens got so scared they ran, Therefore their ear test was positive they hear very well.

Next week I scheduled this exam (they called it procedure) in another hospital where I have to pay it all myself. So be it. And the next day, with the results, I already have an appointment with my doctor.
I´ll have to use my credit card. That´s what it is for.

@LindaOHio I pay all I spend with my credit card as I have it instead of using cash for everything. I pay it the same month. And it helps in these situations. Should I have a big extra in health, I can pay it in several months. In this case my health and the plane fare are in the same months. But I´m saving so that I won´t have to pay the Bank so much. It is important when you go to another country too.

I asked for an appointment with my doctor for next week. I will not take more antibiotics without checking them first. Maybe there is another way. Inhalers could be a partial answer.
