Or don't look as I did not take a picture. In many ways the cats view me as "mom". They are happy when I come home. They are eager to send me to bed on time. They spend time in the office with me. When I got home yesterday, Lady came straight inside with me. I looked at the floor and discovered she had brought in the tail of a lizard. Now let it be known that this is a lizard survival mechanism. They basically shed their tail if a predator catches it. later they grow a new one. It does not bleed, but it continues to wiggle. It distracts whatever is catching it. In this case it was Lady. I grabbed the tail and threw it out. Hopefully some bird caught it. I am not sure lizard is a good menu item for domestic cats. I have never seen a lizard around here, but I am thankful for them, they eat bugs. We have had spotty rain off and on the last two days and I suppose the creature was enjoying the dampness. I have seen free range chickens catch and eat lizards, and small mice when I was young and would visit my grandparents farmstead. I know you wanted to hear that this morning.
