Max keeps on meow

Good morning.
It's already 6:03am of Saturday here in the Philippines. While waiting for my breakfast in which my wife is cooking right now, I'm attending our cat. His name is Max.
I'm bit confused, he keeps on meow, meow and meow. I thought he wanted to some play. So, I'm trying to wave my hand and play with him. He still keeps on meow repeatedly. I tried to sit beside him, he don't how to sit on my lap, keeps on meow and meow.
I don't understand what Max needed to me. I asked my wife to check the need of Max.
My wife answered: "He's hungry!"
Then she handed one sliced bread available on our dining table. She torn it into pieces. Then, Max stops on meow. He ate the sliced bread.
I laughed, I don't know how to handle the need of Max. What's the meaning of that meow?
How about you? Are you aware of different meows? If your cat is hungry or just wanted to play or relax on your lap?

Almost always when my cat meows he is hungry although sometimes I think he is lonely or bored too. Max really shouldn't be eating much bread though...get him some regular cat food and or treats if you don't have any. Also, although they love milk it really isn't good for them, they can't digest it.

@ElicBxn I disagree it is probably even more important now, so that he develops strong bones and teeth and grows properly. People food unless you just make something like boiled rice or maybe a little plain fish or chicken plain veggies or egg is bad for cats. it can even cause them to go into liver failure. they are best off with food that is nutrionally prepared for cats.

Max is a growing boy. Just like Sam and Kyler, he'll make noise until you stuff food in his mouth.

Yes indeed. @DaddyEvil . Sam is currently on the nap and I'm sure he's going to do myLotting later this night. Kyler is currently watching videos on YouTube.

@luisga814 It happened also to my cat, I left food in his bowl but during the night a stray cat ate his food.

@LadyDuck Max is already done with the dinner. Last night he has lots of foods in his plate. And in the morning, when I finally go out to check him, he keeps on meow and found out that the bottle at the entrance is already been down. So, it means, a stowaway cat, ate all his food.

Cats don't eat bread. One of my cats meows when he has his mousy in his mouth. My other cat is vocal. She meows alot. The other two don't really meow unless they are really hungry.

@luisga814 lol. Still a new one on me. I mean, I see dogs on a chain all the time, and even wearing sweaters. But I have never seen one do that to a cat. Nothing wrong with it. Just a new one on me. lol

Honestly, the reason of being in chain, in order to avoid him go outside the house. However, when we're with him, we unchained him. Then for the sweater, we do that to him as we treat him as a family member.

I have had cats all my life, so I have a good idea of what they need. Sometimes they meow just to do it. Most of the time I know what he wants.

I used to have cats, but I stopped when we finally had a dog. I hope he's not meowing because of his leash. our cats were at the back before enjoying their free time.

The only time that my cat named Munster Cheese meows a lot is when she is hungry to eat cat food when I am cleaning up her litter box.

@RubyHawk Yes indeed she knows different kind of meows mean. When I woke she explained that my son told to her that Max keeps on meow and they don't know what to do. Then upon analyzing, my wife just said that Max is going to pee. Then she prepared the blue mini tub. Then Max pee in that tub.
