Eye sight

today was my semi annual check up. Specifically monitoring me for glaucoma. Other than elevated pressures, which I have always had, my eyes are well within normal limits. I did my field of vision test today. It feels like it takes forever.

Good news. When doing things we don't enjoy, it feels like it's taking ages for it to be done with. But when we're having fun, it ends so pretty quick that we want time to extend.

No changes and everything in normal limits. Good for a person who is getting close to 70.

Laser surgery would not benefit me in any way.

@GardenGerty I had two small holes drilled under my iris, so to release a bit of the pressure of my eyes. It helped a lot for my glaucoma, as I risked to become blind.

I have an appointment for this Friday so the ophthalmologist can evaluate the problem(s) I've been having with my eyes... I'm worried about it. I'm glad your eyes were within normal limits. Hopefully, they'll stay that way.

@GardenGerty The ophthalmologist told us I have cataracts and suggested seeing his partner who is an eye surgeon. (I've got my doubts on that since we just had an optometrist give us eye exams this last December for new glasses. I would hope she would have told us if I had cataracts at that time.) But we made the appointment to see the other ophthalmologist in September for a second opinion. But the eye doctor we just saw told us that the facial/eye swelling I'm complaining about is a symptom Grave's Disease. (An autoimmune disease)

I had my field of vision test last week; and I HATE it. So glad that's over with for a year. Glad yours went OK.

@GardenGerty Absolutely. After about 30 seconds you see flashes of light everywhere.

Because of the pressures and family history I go twice a year.
