Coke Or Pepsi?

United States
August 10, 2022 5:36pm CST
I'm having trouble deciding on whether to grill hamburgers today or make meatloaf. At first, I wanted burgers but then saw all that celery and those green peppers that need to be used soon. I have a pound each of sausage and ground chuck thawed. I was going to mix them together for the burgers but just wonder if it would be better to make meatloaf instead and use up some of that produce. I can still cut slices of the meatloaf and put them on buns. So. Doesn't it make more sense to make the meatloaf? Your valued opinion is appreciated. It's about an hour and a half until I have to decide. Any suggestions submitted prior to 5pm PST will be given serious consideration. Thanks in advance. While I'm waiting, I think I'll enjoy a cold Cherry Coke.

You know, you could always make the meatloaf (with veggies) out into patties and grill those. They would have the deliciousness of meatloaf while also getting that excellent grill taste. Whatever you do, hope you enjoy!

That's a good idea too. Hmmmm I could grill meatloaf burgers. Now I have to rethink this. I was set on meatloaf up until a minute ago.

I always mix ground beef and ground pork for burgers or meatloaf... But today I decided on thawing enough different meats to throw a meat pizza together for this evening. (And my drink of choice, when I get one, is Mountain Dew Code Red. ) Meat pizza. Photo is mine. (You can reach through your screen and have some pizza with us, if you'd like.

That looks awesome. Dang. If I made some bread dough, I could make pizza. That looks so good. I even have time to cook down a pizza sauce. Now I don't know what to do lol

I seriously thought this would be a conversation over the big coke/pepsi debate. But I was wrong. I can't tell you what to cook though. I think it's easily after five pm. Well, it's six for me.

Excellent point. If I do the meatloaf, dinner is already done for tomorrow. You are very wise. Thank you. You helped me decide :)

I thought I had decided on meatloaf until someone else said to make meatloaf burgers. Now I don't know what to do. If I make meatloaf burgers, I can use the grill.

I agree with you, meatloaf would be best. Besides, you probably could lightly grill slices of meatloaf if you want a burger style sandwich.

I think I would solve this dilemma easily and just make up a meatloaf and cook it on the grill. It's delicious that way. As for Coke or Pepsi, I am not much of a soda drinker, but if I do it is usually Sprite.

I made meatloaf burgers on the grill. They WERE delicious. I like sprite too but don't drink a lot of soda. I bought a six pack of cherry coke in May and just had the last one yesterday.

When I was young, we used to drink Coke and during my college years, since Coke is not available on the canteen only Pepsi, I force myself to drink Pepsi. Then, now in our area, Pepsi is not available. We only drink RC Cola.

RC cola was very popular when I was young (1960's and 70's) I will still buy it if I see it but it's not always available. I used to go to a place that made cherry cokes on site. I always loved them. Cherry Coke isn't as good as those fountain drinks but it's still one of my favorites.

Ahhhhh, I missed the deadline by "a few"!!! If you have time, then the meatloaf. But if you want a quick grill, the hamburgers - and grill the vegetables on the side. Yah, I'm no help .

This might sound strange, but I make fixings for meatloaf, with green pepper and celery. Then, I bake them in the oven, I've made into patties. They are tremendous, served in hamburger buns! Grilled? I've never cooked them this way.
