My cats, even Bitty, are used to living just with Bob and I. Just two old people. So the kitties were very disturbed to have five extra people at the house.
The adult cats would just go completely away and hide.
Bitty hung out some in the yard. She is still young enough she did not go far away, and she spent some time inside, behind furniture.
My second granddaughter was very determined. She spent the entire five days feeding Bitty treats, dragging a long string and otherwise trying to entice her. By Saturday she had gotten to pet Bitty.
Not only that, she made sure that her older sister and her younger brothers all got to pet Bitty a little.
There were some evenings Bitty was so exhausted she would just come to our bedroom and crash on our bed.
So my daughter and grandids left this morning. I get the impression that Bitty is looking for them tonight.

She got used to all that attention and doesnt know what to think now that life has gone back to "normal".

Yes, I am sure that is part of the issue for her. Plus I am keeping weird hours with the covid.

It is very easy to get Bitty into a food habit. She also thinks that if I am in the kitchen she must have a little bite of something. (healthy of course, like turkey or home made yogurt).

@GardenGerty The cat of my neighbors jumps on my kitchen windowsill as soon as he noticed that I am working in the kitchen. I must stop and give him something.

The dogs were tired of having Monster here by the time she went home. But then they kept looking for her too.

Yes, she needs the play time. She is settling for tearing up the duster, shredding facial tissues and terrorizing the big grasshoppers.
