Well today is the day you can decide to throw caution to the wind , visit an amusement park and take a wild ride - with all the thrills and excited screams.
It so happens that today August 16 is recognized as National Roller Coaster Day.
A day which commemorates the first vertical loop roller coaster which was patented by Edwin Prescott on this day in 1898
Do you remember your first roller coaster ride?
Which is your favorite thriller ride or activity when you visit an amusement park.?

I've seen the pictures on your dad's YT channel of you when you were little! You were sooo cute back then!
I wonder what happened to you since then?

You'll be able to go to an amusement park after you start working and become rich.

I have only been on a giant wheel and yes that ground ride where we sat in a car that was getting tested was horrible.

I never ever ride on a roller coaster but I ride on the Ferry:s wheel and I enjoy it when I was a kid. The last I took it when I was in my late 30s and I almost fainted. My notice it and told the operator to stop and let me get down.

I think it was 5 or more years ago when I last rode that and I do not think I can afford to doing that right now since I do have health issues already at my age and those thrilling rides might just not be good for my old and aching body. When I was young I loved and fear them at the same time but at the end of each ride I feel relieved and happy to have survive it.

It was when my son was a child Kandase.
We went on a ride in a cage like thing that went round in circles.
It was terrible.
They went too fast and I and my son were tossed around like rag dolls.

Oh, wow! I think the last time Pretty and I went to an amusement park was at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo. We bought season ticket and would go to the park just to eat lunch in one of their restaurants and maybe ride a few rides before heading home again. (The amusement park is about a 35 minute drive from our house.) Maybe 15 years ago.
I think my first roller coaster ride was at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Mo. when I was 13 or so years old. I went with a group from our church.
When I was young, roller coasters and the trains were a "must ride" at the amusement parks. I still like roller coasters for the thrill but trains for the beautiful vistas common along their journey through the countryside.

Back in the day I loved roller coasters. I even imaged riding roller coasters throughout the US but that never happened. Even though I haven't been on a roller coaster in years I still remember the thrill

@Kandae11 We have lots of amusement parks throughout our country and I used to enjoy going when I was younger. If I could go back in time for a day I'd certainly like to ride one of those roller coasters

I don't but my dad's company used to have a picnic at the local amusement park. I am sure it was there. I might have been on one before that time though. The one at the local amusement park was not too scary for a child. I haven't been on a real roller coaster in years, although There was a pic of one in Bing news and I asked friend if I was too old for a roller coaster. if it was a tame one, it might not be too bad.

Yes, I remember my first roller coaster ride. It might have been my last. I'm not a fan of roller coasters.

I don't remember my first one. My favorite ride is a water ride which is not available anymore at our amusement park here. It was were you ride in a big tube over water. You may get soaked on the ride. One year a woman wore all white and you could see everything. So I vowed not to wear white to the amusement park.

I used to LOVE roller coasters and the like, any kind. Nowadays I don't even go to amusement parks. My stomach can't take those rides anymore.

If I remember it correctly, my first roller coaster ride was in an amusement park in Japan. I found it exciting.
