A tough morning.

I had a tough early morning today. My mouse went dead, and my back-up was only working sporadically. Even when I went to where I was going, nothing would open up. I deleted my cookies (successfully, though it took a long time), and then warm-rebooted by computer. I could access internet sites, and my own articles and photos (no internet involved), but the mouse problem went unsolved. This afternoon, after work, I went behind my computer and used "De-Oxit" on all of the connections. Now I have my mouse back. Have you ever had to problem-solve on your computer? I am not a "computer person." I will write about my day working with the autistic kid in a separate post.

There is always a problem of this type to solve and sometimes it is easy and other times more complicated. But I'm always satisfied when I can solve a problem through youtube tutorials. This avoids costs.

I rather pay someone to fix it for me than go through the anxiety.

My "head teacher" in the toddler room at the preschool makes me want to toss my cookies sometimes. I feel a post coming on, but it does not feel like tossing my cookies. It feels more like impending explosive diarrhea.

@BarBaraPrz If I really said what I wanted to say, nobody would read it, and I'd never make it to the pool.

Good thing everything works fine with you. It is still a good thing to know a thing or two about troubleshooting.

I’m not a computer person either. I’m having a heck of a time learning to use my new laptop.

I hope you have some good tutors. I still use my desktop for most of my work I tried to post a MyLot post on my cell phone this morning but failed miserably.

I am not completely illiterate when it comes to computer stuff, but some problems are just way beyond my paygrade. I always like to go to our IT guy with important questions so he can ask me if I plugged the computer into the wall. lol

All the time, but I know how to fix most problems so it's usually not a problem for me. I rarely have to ask for help.

I often solve problems on my computer. My husband loved to build his computers and I helped him all the time, so I know exactly what to do. I changed the fan of my computer and also the power supply. That is very annoying as you have to disconnect ALL the cables and connect them back.

Problem-solving on my computer normally involves asking my partner to come and stand in the room. Most of the time he doesn't have to do anything, just be there and everything works fine! Goodness knows what I would do if we ever split up! I had a really weird problem today, I had better post about that too!

I always feel very proud of myself when I solve a computer problem because I come from the age when we didn't have computers. I'm glad you were able to solve your mouse problem. I hope you didn't have to use any pesticides. :-D

Some computer problems seem to be very hard to fix - and often not logical at all.
