Too Old For This

When will I learn I'm too old to trip and throw myself to the ground? After a silly, avoidable fall this week I've fractured my wrist. This is the first time in my life I've received such an injury. At least I'm not in a plaster cast. The injuries are not too serious and I need to wear a wrist splint for a couple of weeks. I'm trying to learn to do daily things with one hand, inluding writing away here at the keyboard. Maybe this is a reminder to me that I need to slow down a little at times!

That is such a shame and don't you have swimming competitions coming up soon? It's good it's not in a cast.

I can't say I don't disagree. We all need to slow down from time to time, but it's easy to forget. I hope you heal quickly.

I have the same fear of falling down to the ground and breaking a bone in my body since I am grateful that I did not suffer any serious knee injuries tripping over my late dog a few years ago.

@valmnz That is true since fear of being injured in a fall is keeping me be more alert in my age.

The photo shows your left hand. So I assume that you didn't break your 'good' hand, the one you use to do things.
