Fear of marriage and having children

I have been with my parents for the last 20 days. My parents are worried about my marriage.And I've always been afraid of marriage and having children.Many people say that if you don't have children,When we are old, sick and hospitalized, or have difficulties in life, we will have a miserable life.you will be treated differently when you go to a nursing home,Such as ill treatment, or poor care, and so on.

It solely depends on you, if you don't want children then you should not have. Here in India, the culture is a bit different, we are always asked to get married and have kids. There are very few people here who don't get married and don't have kids.

@LadyDuck In China, many old people are taken care of by their children.Most of the old people are unwilling to go to the nursing home. For their children, if they send their parents to the nursing home, they will be called unfilial.

Children aren't for everyone. If you don't feel you want children, then it's better not to have them. Pretty doesn't want children, either. (I wanted grandchildren, but if she doesn't want kids, then I'm not going to try to talk her into having kids.)

@zhangxueying You can always tell those people that children aren't going to be a part of your life because you don't want them. Just because other people think you should have them, doesn't make it their business.
No matter what decisions we make in our life, there are always people who think we've made wrong choices. You are the only one who knows what is right for you.

@zhangxueying "It is not good for man/woman to be alone". I believe it is the way and purpose our Creator of the universe and everything in it designed the world of humans to be-- not to be alone. Male and female to procreate and 'multiply.'

Relax dear. Talk to someone you are comfortable sharing your thoughts. You will get married. You should have children only if both you and your hubby wish. There is no guarantee nowadays that children takes care of their parents in old age. Just relax. Take care
