So happy to get this news.
We live in housing and receive help with our rent through a Section 8 voucher. They make a payment each month toward our contract rent of a certain amount which brings our tenant rent down. We recently did our annual recertification and were also sent a notice saying that our rent was going up to 4 digits. Ouch!
Got the paperwork in and was patiently waiting to hear back on how much section 8 was going to pay this time around.
I was so pleasantly surprised when we got our Section 8 Housing Program paperwork. It showed that they were going to pay $50 more than they had the year before and our rent would remain the same.
With this happy news and the power bill being reduced by $3, I am really pleased.

I am glad that worked out for you. I know we stopped renting when the rent reached the four digit mark. The cost of living is insane.

Hey, now you might be able to buy some food that'll last to the end of the month. Or not.

I have Budget Pay which means I pay the same amount each month. They take six months and average how much I pay and come out with an amount I pay each month.

People shouldn't have to struggle financially, just to pay rent and utilities each month! I'm glad your rent remains the same, but you allowance will be increased:)

What wonderful news! When prices on everything are so expensive, every little bit (or lot of bit) helps!

That's great news indeed. Here, the government distributes consumption vouchers. We can use the vouchers to buy anything except medicines.
