September Has Arrived

Happy September Everyone! it's a beautiful morning here for the start of a new month.
I'm just sitting here enjoying my coffee while I think about what I want to do today.
I feel a bit ambitious so I'm thinking of making a lasagna for dinner. I have all the ingredients and now my only decision is whether to add meat to it or just stick with a simple cheese filled one. I'm leaning more toward keeping it meat free only because I don't feel like pre-cooking the meat or sausage to add to the layers.
While I'm sitting here I have to pay some bills and probably figure out if we need to do a grocery shopping.
I'm reading a really good book (This Tender Land by William Kent Kreuger) and my mind keeps going back to the book and how much I'd really just like to sit and read and forget about the other things I need to do.
But, if I don't spend too much time on the computer this morning I can relax this afternoon and escape back into my book.

September is a normal month for me. I don't have any plans for this month as yet but I hope it to be better than August

Enjoy the nice day and take it easy if that is what you want to do. Maybe instead of making something you can order out and can read your book because it sounds like a lot of work the cooking will be. I have never made it so do not know how long it takes to make it.

I so enjoy the fall weather; but I hate the shorter days and the winter that follows. I hope you got time to read your book. I need to get back into the reading habit. Enjoy your long weekend.

Hi! Okay, so I looked up "The Tender Land" on Amazon and read a few pages of it. Now, of course, I have to purchase the book to read the rest of it, LOL! It's the exact type of storytelling that I love! Thank you for the recommendation! Also, I once tried to make an all-cheese lasagna for my family, and they spent the meal telling me how much more they loved the ones with meat in them, LOL!

I am sure that the lasagna came out really yummy!!
I have to pay some bills as the new month has begun. Also I need to check my kitchen pantry and make a grocery list. I have kept both these as my to do chores for Saturday. I have cooked an elaborate lunch meal for my family today and feel a bit exhausted after that. But enough to go for dinner too.
