Early morning break...a new week begins.

Good morning from this side of the planet.
. It's 9:15 AM as I write this post and I have another 95 minutes break to be here
.
It's a pleasant Monday morning here 
. I am writing this post from my workplace. Just finished my first one to one session. I am free now as the child for this session is absent today. We have not heard from the parents and so, I am not sure about the reason for his absence. I just hope that all is okay.
I have been awake since 4 in the morning. My husband had an early morning flight and he left home at 4:30 AM. He is on business trip and would be back on Wednesday late night. I am feeling a bit sleepy right now and I thought mylot would be a good way to distract. Though I have few other works to finish too, I would like to mylot for a while 
.
My next session is from 11_12 and that would be all for work at school.
It's a big relief that we have got no rain or little rain on the weekend across the city. Though it was cloudy throughout, it didn't pour. Flood situation has improved a lot and most of the places in the city are back to normal. And seeing a clear sky and bright sun this morning brings so much of joy. I hope it stays this way. I would return home in the afternoon to do some laundry.
I have reached the payout here. Well, I had started with close to dollar five that I carried from the last month. And I did add few cents in these ten days.. Though I planned to be more active here, I couldn't for some good reasons keeping me busy in offline life.
It's a new week and new hope
. I hope that the new week is good for all mylot friends .I am looking forward to few exciting things at work. Keeping my fingers crossed. I will make another post to share that.
I would just move to notifications and then come back to reading your posts if time permits. For the next one and half hours, I just want to mylot .

I too crossed the 5 $ limit and got the payout.
Some of my last payouts were 6 plus but this time I had the house shifting in between.
That impacted my activity level here.
Anyways it's always fun to come here.
I hope that you get good sunshine and not too much rains now. Else I can understand that it gets rather difficult to manage.

Does somebody from the school call when a kid is absent or do they wait for a few days before calling? (I didn't know Pretty was skipping school for a week, until someone at the school called me and asked if she was okay.)
I hope your hubby's business trip is successful, whatever it is. (I dozed off for about 30 minutes... )
Oh, good! I'm glad the flooding has stopped and the water receded. And am now feeling sad that you want to do laundry instead of enjoying your roof garden on a beautiful day.

@arunima25 Oh, travel time must not be as much as it was for me to go to Pretty... Or you can afford to fly her home where I drove Pretty to college and would have to drive to bring her home again. I sent her a "care" package once a month.

The parents are supposed to call us and let us know. He is a six years old with special needs. So, I am sure that he is not bunking the school. In case of middle school and high school,we do that even when the student is absent for one day without a leave note or call from parents. For younger children, we would wait for few days before giving a call to parents.
It's a regular business trip for him. It's resumed after a long break of two and half years due to the pandemic. It's another branch of his office in another city and he has travel there once in a month to meet the other teammates. Today he has a presentation there as few clients from the US have come. He works for an American company.
I am glad that Sam was pulled in. I added 13 cents here yesterday, the highest in a long time
My elder daughter has settled there. Feels home sick at times( that's natural in the beginning) and has realised that home meals are the best in the world . She is making new friends and enjoying her independent life at the campus. Absolutely loves the classes, professors and the infrastructure. She is happy despite having a hectic schedule and putting a lot of hardwork. She feels that she has found her passion there.
I can not enjoy the weather in my terrace garden. It's like a dumping ground now with all the renovation work going on. I plan to sit and do some artwork in my balcony in the pleasant weather with a pleasant view of swimming pool and all beautiful landscapes.

@DaddyEvil I am setting up my table to start the artwork. I came back from work and put one load in the machine before I even changed . Now I am setting up the table for my artwork in balcony. I will spend some time here after lunch.
The renovation work is going on. I will have my lunch in some time. Eating alone is not something I enjoy. I just have to heat and eat. I made the lunch before leaving for work. And I am sure that I made enough to go till dinner. My daughter and niece would be back by 5 in the evening.
I have left some home made goodies with her. She plans to come home for four days in October for Diwali. She will carry some that time.
I can relate to that. During my stay of campus, we did the same. We waited for any home made delicacies. And it was over in no time as there would be so many to share with.. College years were the best ones for me. And I wish the same for her.

@sathviksouvik Yes, start of the academic year can be a hectic one for both teachers and students. There is always some or the other teething problems that need to be addressed. Hope all goes well for you.
As an academic coordinator and counselor at the school, i find the beginning and end of any semester to be a packed one.

@sica98 We get paid on 15 of every month ( around that day ), but we get paid only what we made in the last month. What we earn in new month goes to next payment. I made a little less than five dollars in August and so I miss the payment this time.

@arunima25 - I hope the child is fine. My husband tries to be very quiet when he gets up, but I feel that he is moving and he always wakes me up. You will do more this month, so you can have a more important payout.

@LadyDuck We hope that too. The child has cerebral palsy and has wheezing attacks. So when he is absent, I get worried about his health. He does have cardiac issues too.
I would try to add a couple of more dollars if possible. Today was a good day here.
On other days, his quiet movements don't wake me. I sleep like a baby. But once I know that he will leave the house, I want to wake up and say him bye. I do that lying on the bed

If they don't contact us by tomorrow and the child continues to be absent, we would call and find out.
Actually I didn't come out of bed and stayed there till my usual wake up time at 5. But then it did disturb my sleep as he was getting ready and switched on the light in the walking closet. And I want to be awake to say bye to him when he leaves

Thanks for your concern. Glad that the flooding has subsided and even rain has stopped in the last three days. Life is back to normal. The continuous heavy rain had created havoc and the whole city was at standstill.

Thanks for your concern. It was flooding the news and social media. A few areas were flooded and not the whole city. Glad that our area was not affected. But then the already bad traffic gets worse in rain and flooding in few areas are good enough to put the whole city at standstill.
It's over now. But not sure if it's the end. Bangalore has been getting unusually high rainfall recently.
