Don't Let the Looks Deceive You

My gosh. What an absolutely horrible picture that does not do this dinner we had last night any justice whatsoever. I was hungry and it was just a quick shot for today's post before I intended to get to stuffing my face.
I was going to make beef burritos, but time got away from us a bit. Things happen, you know. Such is life.
So, I asked the wife if she wanted a pizza. It would have been Pizza World, and when we order from them, we usually spend at least $40 with delivery and all.
"Why don't we just have ham sandwiches?" she said, and it was agreed. Why spend the money, and actually that sounded kind of good.
A ham sandwich on a toasted ciabatta bun with Miracle Whip, onions and tomato. On the side we still had some deviled egg potato salad left over, so we finished that up.
It may not look appetizing in the picture, but it was quite good.

If I was hungry, I'd eat it. Food doesn't have to look pretty all the time.

I have a saying about “not-pretty” food: my stomach and taste buds don’t have eyes.
Having said that, I don’t see any tomato on that. Of course, I’m one of those people who insists that nothing BUT tomatoes are seen on a sandwich.

I wouldn’t say that it doesn’t look appetizing. Why spend money when you don’t have to?

I cook briefly sometimes. Like today I had instant noodles for breakfast. I never had deviled egg potato.

I don't think it looks bad. In fact, to me, it looks quite delicious.
