How often do you feed your pet? / myLot

In the past when we had a dog and two cats, we fed them three meals a day as well as us. Now I just have fish and they are in the livingroom. Whenever I pass by, I will feed them and the fish are so happy to see me everytime

I fed Luna twice a day when she was a puppy. But when she grew up, she only wanted to eat at dinner time and ants went for her food. So I feed her at night and, when I have something, give her a snack at any hour. She does not have to be hungry for those.

That sounds good you often give Luna a snack since I think one meal a day may not be enough for such a big dog

I have two cats. I fill their bowl in the morning and look at it occasionlly. If I see that it is empty, I fill it again.

@MALUSE In the past my cats couldn't finish all of their food and I think it is a waste. If they were like me, then they would not waste it

We have 1 and a half cats. I say 1 and a half because one is ours (Grayson) and the other is our warehouse cat that I bring home on Wednesdays and weekends (Cal). They eat when they want. We just keep their bowl(s) full. Other than that they get a special wet meal at dinner time with us.

@youless Yeah. So long as they don't overindulge I see no reason to not let them eat whenever they want to.
