First Day of Autumn/Fall

It's Thursday and the first day of Autumn/Fall. Rain greets us this morning with possible thunderstorms as the day goes on. It's pretty dismal looking outside.
My morning started off with coffee (not a surprise there 
) and I'm making an online grocery list for a weekend delivery. So far I have more things in the cart than I will probably buy when I do a final check but it's nice to just be able to "add to cart" as I go through the store.
I still haven't been able to think of a good gift for my oldest daughters birthday on Oct 1st. Even my granddaughter called and asked me if I knew what she wanted and could give her some gift ideas. I gave her two or three that I think would be good and within her limited budget so that leaves me with nothing. Guess I'll just go with cash and she can get whatever she wants or needs. I know giving cash is impersonal but it's better than getting her something she doesn't want or can't use.
I will buy a very pretty and sentimental card just to show her how much I love her.
Can't say there's much new going on here.

I"d rather give something more personal but I'm really at a loss this year. Every time I ask she says she doesn't need anything.

I prefer gifts which bear the emotion of the relationship over expensive things

Buying a pretty and sentimental card for your oldest daughter is a good idea. Not much going on here. May meet with a friend over the weekend.

It's been raining off and on all day here. We're at 57F at 2:30 pm... I don't see us reaching the 65F the forecast claimed we'd hit.

She just says she doesn't need anything so I'm sure it's going to be cash unless something awesome pops in my mind between now and then.

I wanted to take a nap so badly but my grandson stopped by and we had a nice visit. I'd give up a nap for him anyday!!

We never got the thunderstorms and the sun came out in the middle of the afternoon.
Picking up the camper on Saturday does sound like your weekend will be busy.

@Marilynda1225 We wound with a humdinger of a storm. Two doors down a tree was completely demolished by a lightning strike. They were out there yesterday chopping it all up.

Our son's birthday was yesterday, and I haven't bought him anything just yet.
We won't celebrate until early October, and we will do both his as well as his wife's birthday.
I think that I might look for an indoor-outdoor weather station for him.
Its handy, especially when you do not know how to dress to go outside and it might help that he dresses the twins appropriately.
I haven't decided what to get his wife yet, and is still a work in progress.

The weather has turned cool and the humidity is gone. Does your daughter have a favorite restaurant that she likes? A gift card is always nice. My day is going OK. Just sitting here in my recliner and MyLotting. Have a good one!
