I had a Very Productive Day yesterday.

My MyLot friend @Maluse likes to tease me about my Protestant Work Ethic, something she may associate with Americans (those of us who like to work, that is). Yesterday, I had a day that might make her laugh, if Americans could make her laugh. It was a day to Get Sh*t Done. I had no obligations. No papers to grade, nobody to visit, nothing I HAD to do. So I did what I wanted to do. These are among the things I did yesterday * did my 2022 sheet laundering, to please @Vandana 7, and myself. I admit they were looking pretty gross. * laundered my September underpants and three favorite t-shirts for wear at my friend's preschool. * Ran the dishwasher. * Sanded and oiled the KLH 5 loudspeakers I'm working on. They will look minty when done, and I will receive $150 for this restoration. * Checked the oil in my truck and fixed the left headlight, which sometimes goes out. I loosened the connection, bathed said connection in De-Oxit (a contact cleaner) and reattached it. It is working fine today (I just visited my drug dealer) but it will go out again. * Called several friends, just to catch up. * Deposited my (physical) paycheck at the local bank machine, about two miles away. * Started re-reading "A High Wind in Jamaice," a favorite novel by Richard Hughes, by the pool. *Did several posts on MyLot, whenever I felt like it. * Worked a bit on my book. I could list several things I did NOT yet do, but I don't want to write a Long Post. Do you ever have "Get Stuff Done" days?

Is being lazy for a day allowed? I'm not sure. Jews are supposed to do nothing on the Sabbath. Have you seen this video? Only an American can fully appreciate it. If you watch it, you'll have to let me know if you "get it."

You sure did get a lot of stuff done. Today is a stay at home day and I am doing nothing except cooking two meals. My husband has to cook the last meal.

You've got a lot done! Oh yes, things must get done every week. When appointments occur, next month, I do things around it. One thing I like, is direct deposit for social security benefits. Maybe you should have this, since your mail gets pilfered? Up to you.

Almost every day I get things done. do laundry twice a week. I did not replace the dishwasher, so I do dishes every day. I do not write posts on myLot often, this is something I miss to do.

Sometimes I have days like that. They are certainly very satisfying. We have one headlight not working too but it will have to wait for a while till we can get to the mechanics.

Can you get some contact cleaner, spray it in there, and see if it works? I thought it was my bulb, and bought a new bulb in Montana. But It was not my bulb. It was the connection.

You did a lot yesterday . And the annual sheet laundry is done . Well, I do have such days and today was one of them. It's first day of the semester break. I have the break till 5th October. I did a lot of cleaning in the first half of the day and also some cooking ( home made snacks). Later I relaxed with mylotting for almost an hour
