Good afternoon from this side of the planet.. It's 12 noon here. It's bright sunny day here with pleasant breeze . Yesterday was dark and cloudy. It did drizzle but no rain as such. The laundry done yesterday was not well dried. Today since morning, I have done three loads of curtain and they are well dried in the bright sun and crisp. I also finished handwashing of few delicate clothes that need gentle care. They are hanging out and should be dried in an hour. Till then I can relax with mylotting. . Later after lunch I plan to iron them. I have few more from yesterday to be ironed and folded. But now my feet needs some rest after all the morning chores.. The renovation work downstairs is going on in full swing. Today is quite noisy as they are cutting the tiles And breaking the floor tiles of the last bathroom. The other two bathrooms are ready and they have come out really well. Worth the pain of noisy and messy house in the last one month. These loud noise work should be over by this week. Next week would be mostly quiet ones or maybe some hammering. Cleaning, painting and, polishing of all wooden furniture would be the last one. Painting the pots in my garden would be a time taking job.. There are more than hundreds of them there. The picture is of my pooja room( prayer corner). It's beautiful and I am happy with the outcome so far. . This room would be completed by today evening and I am quite excited about it. . Next they start with my library plus office in the balcony. Well, when you see such outcome, it seems worth the pain and suffering of a renovation work. I don't set any Mylot goals as such. But since I am in a mood to mylot for a while to stay distracted from the noise, I plan to make a post ( done with this one), clear my notifications and, write responses to 40 posts here. . Well, that's a lot. Let's see how much I can do before lunchtime. I would do the rest after lunch and ironing. I plan to take a late lunch around 2. All these chores and running on toes was making me hungry despite my breakfast and I just gulped a big banana. I will not be hungry till 2. What's your plan for mylotting today if any? Moving on to notifications. Enjoy mylotting..Have a good time in your mylot corner

I am just back on myLot now after being MIA since yesterday evening. (I was running a fever and being sick to my stomach.) I'm doing much better now and am ready to play on myLot this evening/night. Remodeling is always noisy but can be worth it when the noise and mess is done.

@arunima25 Thank you. I'm sure I'll be fine. Just pick a place to start and... start. That usually works.

@DaddyEvil Yes, that works. I think I should start with small corners that would get over soon and won't be overwhelming to start with. Small baby steps to start with You should take good rest to recover soon.

Oh! I am so sorry to know that. Glad that you are feeling better now. Sending positive vibes. Hope you are fully recovered in time. I know that once things are done, we feel that the trouble was worth it. But right now I am overwhelmed looking at the mess around me. I am clueless and don't know where I should start from

It's semester break till 5th October here for me. So, I plan to do some deep cleaning around the house. That's what I do in all breaks that I get other than going for vacation if any Coming here refreshes me. So, I do peep in here every now and then. Mylotting does not seem like a work.

No special Mylot plans, except may be adding Cricket or some other discussion. As for the Rest : A)Nice picture with good light effect! B)Floor Tile breaking work can be so bothersome with noise and dust and days of workers going in and out (safety also is a concern). C)Do you get Furniture painted from outside or do it yourself? D)Have a wonderful 30 Sep 2022 !!

@arunima25 We had visitors yesterday. Occupied with them for many hours. Clothes and rugs have piled up for machine wash. Plus we have called a professional cleaner to clean one bathroom. So not much time to rest today. Tomorrow is Ashtami poojan and we would also be sending meals to Girls and one boy (Kanjaks). Plus it would be a work day for me. Well, life does keeps on coming up with challenges here and there.

@arunima25 Yes... Better not to talk about or think about things that can be overwhelming. Just focus on tasks at hand and enjoy whenever possible. I watched a spicy action Bollywood movie of 1985 yesterday and today. It was a nice entertainer, although I had watched it at a movie hall back in 1985/86 !

I have not checked your discussions in a long time. Today I plan to do that. Go to the page of friends who are very regular to my posts and respond to their posts that I might have missed. That's my plan for the day after notifications. So, be prepared to get a few notifications from my side . This pooja room is still under construction. I wanted them to finish it before saptami, so that at least I could do my ashtmi pooja there. Right now just doing paath or listening to it on YouTube. They should finish the tile breaking part by tomorrow. Only the last bit in one of the balconies is left. We should have less noise and dust from next week and we plan to start setting up the house too. We have wooden furniture and they need polishing. We do it once in five years and call people to do it.

Getting renovations done while occupying the place can be quite a strain but when everything is done everything is forgotten (lol)

Oh! It's quite a lot of inconvenience. Especially the dust part makes it even more challenging. We stay confined to one room. And we wear a mask even for opening the door of the room. Yes, it is forgotten once things settle down and they look beautiful But right now, I am overwhelmed by looking around the house. I don't know where to start from.

@allknowing Yes, I should start with setting small places first. Baby steps. Starting with a big one would be overwhelming and it might discourage me. Since the upstairs is finished now, I should start arranging little by little my walk in closet from tomorrow. That itself is a big task.

I am sorry the renovation work downstairs is a cause of noise. I hope that they will go on and finish in short time so you can enjoy again the peace of your home.

@arunima25 I understand very well, because I hate the dust.I remember when we refurbished this home. Cleaning the dust has been a terrible task. We renovated 23 years ago, for the moment no need to do more.

@LadyDuck It took me about four hours to clean the dust after the workers left. Though they do tidy up the place before leaving. But it's not enough with all the minute dust. 23 years is a long time. I am happy that it's still going good. Even we hope that this is the last of renovation work that we are doing in this house. This apartment is twenty five years old. My husband had a two bedroom apartment here before our marriage. We bought this penthouse in 2013 when we returned to India. Our two bedroom apartment is on rent and even that needs a bit of renovation. We will do it only when the current tenants move.

More than the noise, it's the dust that's troubling me a lot. I have to wear a mask and go out of my room. The noisy and messy work should be over by this week or maybe next Wednesday. After that it would be all quiet work with no dust. This dust cleaning is a big headache. The outcomes so far has been good. And we are happy about that. This apartment is almost 25 years old and these renovations were needed.

you are blessed Arunimaji to have bright sunny days in Bengaluru. In Kolkata it is raining only. We have forecast that during saptami austami nabami there is going to be serious rain

@arunima25 thanks Arunimaji due to global warming the Bay of Bengal is getting over hot at quick succession. Once a depression is created West Bengal and Orissa suffer the most as they are adjacent to bay of bengal. The rains are preventing the autumn season to set in properly

We are really feeling blessed. You must have got the news about the recent rain and flooding here. We were having continuous rain from May and hardly any sun since the last few months. It was getting depressing. Oh! Kolkata is famous for Durga puja and pandals. I hope that the weather forecast goes wrong. It would ruin the enthusiasm of the festival. We too expect some rain in coming days.

@sathviksouvik Global warming and climate change is a harsh reality. It's going crazy everywhere. Bangalore would get regular rain throughout the year. But in the last few years, it has been crazy continuous heavy rain causing flooding..

I don't set goals here because I know once I remain consistent here I have fun with the people and reach payout soon at the end of the month. I am not getting much time to spend on mylot but that does matter. I still take out some time to chat with people and read some posts. I can understand how irritating that noise may be for you as we are also frustrated with the noise a neighbor makes as construction is going on, on both sides of our home. Your picture of pooja ghar looks beautiful.

It's the same with me. No mylot goals. It's a time pass for me and helps me relax. I have no obligations and pressure to be here. I just try to be here whenever I get some free time from offline life. And offline life can be quite demanding at times . Yesterday I just made a goal for fun and I could do only half of what I had actually planned for . Lets see how much I do today. Thanks for your compliment.Even I found it beautiful and divine. Happy about this corner of my home. Let's see how other corners turn out to be.

Thank you. We hope for the same. We are in mid way. All this would take up to mid October. The outcomes so far have been good and we hope that at the end, it would be worth all the pain. At least the noisy and dust work would be over by this week or maybe mid week of next.

Thanks Judy.. whatever has been done so far has been upto the expectations. This contractor is actually good at listening to your ideas and requirements before giving his inputs. I liked that. It feels good that money is not wasted and the results are good.

MyLot is a hobby for me, not an obligation. I don't feel that I should set goals for it. I find this absurd. Either I reach the amount of money to be paid or I don't. If I don't reach it this month, I'll reach it next month. So there.

It's a hobby for me too and a way to relax in between work and chores. What I earn in an hour at my work is much much more than what I would earn here after a good month of mylotting.. I never keep a goal. That's what I have mentioned. As I don't have much to do in this break, I thought of having some fun goals and see if I can do that. There is no obligation to do so.

Same here. I am here to enjoy and not out of obligations. Today I just set some random daily goal to see how much I can do. I am still to see how much I could do. Wow! I am sure that the painted bathrooms would look lovely.

Once all is done and the house looks beautiful, all the pain and troubles are forgotten Have a good time there. I would be peeping here every now and then.. Nothing much to do today.
