The elevator is still not working after 3 days.

Dusk in Jerusalem

One of the perks of living on the 7th floor is the wonderful view we see out our window. But when the elevator is not working, then we have to trudge up all the stairs. I don't mind to go down, but I have to plan my outings. What are the pros and cons of your home? This is a beautiful picture from the entrance of Jerusalem overlooking the hills around the city.

This really is a beautiful picture. The cons of our home: it is on three levels, a lot of stairs up and down. The pros of our home: it is on three levels, that means a lot of exercise every day.

There are three elevators in my apartment building and I live in 15th floor. So if one elevator is maintained, then at least we can use the rest two.

I saw the technicians working on the elevator this morning, so I had high hopes, but when I came back with groceries it was still not working.

It's not always easy to be in this situation. Hopefully they fix the elevator soon. We live in a townhouse. Two floors and a basement. I do like the way it's set up and gives us plenty of room. It's not perfect, but it's still good.

I would not be able to live there now. I cannot climb easily to my second floor now. I mostly live in the first floor.

Seven floors is a long way to have to trudge up stairs.

@lifecoachjerusalem Oh dear, that's not good at all. What if your husband had an emergency or an appointment?

Yes, and I beginning to think that if I want to sell the apartment, I have to make sure that the elevator will be in good condition. I can walk up the stairs, but it is a problem because my husband is in a wheelchair and he hasn't been able to go out since last Sunday.

@JudyEv If we need to call the ambulance, they have a special wheelchair that can go down or up stairs, or they can send 4 very big men to take him down. Going up is more difficult and expensive. In order to get him up the stairs, I would have to order a private ambulance that has the special chair and pay $125 a ride. So maybe we need to find an apartment on a ground floor. . .

Pros of our home are we have trees of blackberry and bell stone in front of our house. The cons are it's a small house having just 3 rooms. It's a beautiful picture of Jerusalem. I would love to visit your city at least once in my life.

What a beautiful picture. I would not want to walk up that many floors.

I wonder what folks do if they can't manage stairs? Those stairs would make my knees hurt. Thanks for the modern view of Jerusalem.

I normally avoid elevators, but living on the seventh floor I'd be using it. Do you know why they are taking so long to fix it?
