It's Raining, It's Pouring... / myLot

Do you remember that nursery rhyme? It's raining, it's pouring the old man is snoring. That's what it looks like here except the dog is snoring next to me instead of an old man. The rain is coming down in buckets, it's downright cold and it's windy. The only word to describe today is "miserable" However, everything is good inside the house even if outside is stormy. I can't believe it got cold enough to put the heat on and I'm sitting here bundled up like it's the middle of winter. Most definitely a soup day. Looks like a good old comfort combo of tomato soup and grilled cheese for lunch. Haven't decided on dinner yet but you can bet it's going to be something warm and filling. I hope anyone who has sunshine today enjoys it and I wish you would send me some. We probably won't see the sun until late tomorrow or Thursday. That means the sun has been hiding since last Friday

We had a cloudy and grey day but no rain. We are experiencing the first fog of the year. The air is cold already we are also heating the house.

I really didn't think that we would have to put the heat on yet. Guess we'll be paying extra for this early bit of cold weather

@Marilynda1225 Our furnace is on "automatic", when the temperature inside the house goes under 69 F it heats. We have to lower to 66 F from next week, those are the new rules now.

We've had our heat on for 2 weeks already; and my husband has even been cold enough to put on the space heater in the Florida room. It's going to be 70 for a couple of days -- yay! -- and then it will drop down into the 50s again during the day.

The weather peep claimed it would rain today but that didn't happen .... I was actually glad it didn't, we've gotten more than usual this year as it is and I was ready for sunshine.

Nice, you're cozy any having comfort food! Me too. It started sunny, but became cloud covered. Cool temperature, getting more cloudy. Do I'm making comfort food too... instant ramen and fries.

I've been chasing the sun around the yard all afternoon. The big ol' tree in back kept blocking it out. I was warm enough in it, but not in the shade.
