Just dipping in to say hi and l hope you are all well. I have caught up with a couple of friends on here & it is nice to see everyone is still around and posting.
So what have we been up to on this side of the pond. Throughout the summer we have been looking after the grandchildren during their summer holidays. We also celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. We have been visiting our family here & there & they have visited us too.
My most happy time was visiting Europe visiting Belgium, Germany, cruising down the Rhine on our way to see the passion play in Oberammergau in Southern Germany. The passion play lasted 5 hours in total & is usually put on every ten years as a pledge by the villagers back in 1634 if the village were spared of the plague that swept through Europe. It should have taken place in 2020 but because of Covid-19 it was delayed by 2 years. The play albeit completely conducted in German was brilliantly performed by the actors & choir. It was stunning to watch & finally get to see it.
We then went through Austria & spent some time in Italy finally making our way back through Switzerland then France where unfortunately l had to stay as l developed vertigo. Once l was able to stand l caught the train to Paris & caught the Eurostar back to London. I was unwell for a few weeks but l am ok now!

@garymarsh6 Yes we have beautiful places here in India. I have not visited my whole country. Every year I plan to explore different places with in the country.

Good to see you. Hope you are now fully recovered.
You took me back to the package tour of Europe years ago. There were 7 countries that were covered. We too had the Euro Star experience - London to Brussels. I liked Switzerland the best.

@garymarsh6 If you are talkin about the Lucerne lake we took a boat ride and spent quite a bit of time on the boat looking around. I remember feeding the ducks too. There was a shop close by and I bought chocolates!!
The Jung frau experience was magical too.

Nice to see you too. Yes Switzerland is absolutely beautiful. We sat down by the lake listening to some people playing the Alpine horn. It was just magical.

I was too late in 2010 & booked that trip in 2017 for 2020. It was packed out & so well organised.

I don't usually do photos of me. Thank you for your kind words. I am off on a cruise next week to the Western Mediterranean. Greece, Turkey Israel & Cyprus. It should be interesting.

I love keeping up with your travels too. I have another cruise coming up next week to Greece, Turkey, Israel & Cyprus. That should be exciting I hope you get to see the photos. Real life tends to get in the way so it is understandable but it is like coming home to see our friends still here posting their news.

Oberammagau play was simply amazing. It far exceeded my expectations. You would have loved the singing acting & stage set up. It was easy to follow as we all know the story.

Your trip sounds fantastic until you got vertigo but glad you okay now.
Love the picture and the passion play sounds like something you experience once in a lifetime.
