Since the passing of a dear family member almost two weeks ago, l have been visiting Mylot but lost my motivitation to write - thankfully l am over that. Since that memorable day the first of October , l have been experiencing a mild case of brain fog caused by a bout of depression, which left me feeling depleted of energy, enthusiasm and interest . Now, l think l am back to my old self. I must thank my Mylot family for the heartfelt condolences. You have helped me tremendously over a difficult period, and l truly appreciate it. By the way, have you experienced occasions where your energy and interest is gone for awhile? Pixabay image.

I am glad that you are coming out of the worst of the physical effects of a close loss. I remember sleeping for days on end after my Dad passed, and then having difficulty concentrating at work for a couple of weeks. We all go thru these things differently, but I am happy that you are emerging.

Yes, the sadness is still there. Among other reasons, I used to ask his advice on a lot of things and l am wondering - who will l ask now?

@Kandae11 yes, he had kidney failure. He's on dialysis for more than 3 years. It was hard to accept. I was the benefactor of his dialysis that's why it terribly pained me

@cacay1 In my country dialysis is a very expensive process if it is not subsididized by the government.

I am sorry for your loss, Kandase, and, the same time, glad you could come back to life and continue walking even though the pain still exists. Yes, my mother-in-law is hospitalized now treating a very aggressive stomach cancer. The organ is not functioning anymore and all her feeding is through nasogastric tube straight to her intestin. She is fighting and we are still believing she can return to life but doctors already said they don't know what else to do. The chemo is working no more and we think it is making her feel even worse. She is in her last session of it and we will have to wait. The problem is one of her sons as well, as he extremely negative, bossy, and hates her. He is an aggressive man and is giving us all a very hard moment and so we have do deal with this problem as well. The fact is that this last Thursday I had a nervous reaction and almost went to hospital for intervention because of all this situation he is causing. I am not working right since this situation began in July and all I do is procrastinate things and I was never like that. I feel drained, tired and not willing to do anything. Yesterday I thought to myself it must stop and so I decided to be brave and face it. It is hard, but here I am... trying. Thank you so much for your post and I wish you a wonderful day!
