It is raining, finally!!

My country is facing a severe drought, the river near my house is so low that, in some places, we can cross it on foot. It is sad seeing the river like this 
But today it is raining and it will be raining during the next days. This rain is like gold for us but we are also afraid as, after a period of drought, flooding is a real danger.
How is the weather in your place? Do you have drought or flooding problems?

I'm glad you're getting rain now and hope you don't have floods...
It was below 0C yesterday morning and is supposed to be below freezing again this morning. (It's -5C right now. And the forecast claims it might reach 11C by afternoon today. It was supposed to reach 5C yesterday afternoon but didn't make it that high.) Rain is in our forecast for today so we probably won't reach the 11C, either.
Pretty and I have to get out in the cold today to pick up her meds at the pharmacy and she wants to pick up some groceries.

I am sure everyone in your country felt happy hearing those raindrops. Here in the Caribbean we are still in the hurricane season ( till Nov. 30), so tropical storms or hurricanes could show up at anytime bringing lots of rainfall and flooding in some areas.

No drought problems here. Some weeks are rainy some weeks are dry. Flooding is more of a problem here

Hope the rain doesn't cause flooding in your area. We went all summer with very little rain but have been getting some recently. The weather is changing and we're getting colder days and nights and winter is right around the corner.

@nela13 Glad you didn't get any flooding in your area. After a very dry summer we've finally been getting some rain. I'm just glad it isn't cold enough for it to freeze
