Although I have lots of food, I am always tempted to buy more and more food.
But now I will stay away from buying until Luna needs more food. And I think that she has enough for a month at least.
Anyway I don´t have any place to store cookies or other not so important groceries. I don´t even have anywhere to store a bit of ice cream
Tomorrow I will roast the rest of the chicken breast. If I don´t do it soon. I will have to give it to Luna.
I don´t have much appetite. Probably it is that I´m ill.
Are you a compulsive buyer as groceries go?

@marguicha It's not my shelves that are empty, are the shelves of the supermarkets and this is concerning.

We're still stocking up on canned goods and boxed goods that will last years in our garage. While the government is willing to pay for our groceries, there's not reason not to stock up. *shrug* IF/WHEN I get approved for disability, the government will stop paying for the groceries and with the prices still rising, who knows whether we'll be able to afford to buy anything then.

@marguicha Yes. But unless a can gets rusty or starts to swell up, the food in it is still good. Pasta and things that need to be re-hydrated before being used are good as long as they don't get moisture into them.
"Expiration dates", "Best Before dates" and "Use By dates" are there so people will throw away perfectly good food and buy more to replace it.

Yes, pretty much. I also go in for 1 or 2 things and come back with 3 or 4.

I too am in a habit like : 5 things to buy as essential for Grocery and ending up buying 15 or even 20 !!
It's perhaps my psychology that I tend to think : Oh, I need to buy this, or buy that also !
Perhaps I need to plan and stick to the plan more strictly when going for Groceries.

You're ill again? What have I missed?
I feel like you and I have missed each other in the last couple of weeks.
I do online ordering and have it delivered. So that takes away any need to just put random stuff in my cart.

I am always checking for true bargains on food, if I find something that we use all the time and it stores well, I will buy an extra or two, for sure. Our groceries are all costing way more than they did, so sales are very important.

Sometimes my time is so limited that going to the store is just hard, so I am glad to have a few extra food items here to always be able to make a meal or two.

My husband is the one that's a food hoarder. He has overfilled the freezer, refrigerator and pantry...and he keeps buying! I hope you will feel better soon.
