Do You Like Getting Dressed Up For Halloween?

Happy Friday Everyone! it's sunny but chilly here this morning. Temperatures dropped again overnight and I had to put the heat on. Halloween is on Monday so I'm assuming there will be a lot of Halloween parties over the weekend. My daughter is going to one tomorrow and decided to dress up as a butterfly. She's going to wear all black and got this beautiful colorful cape from Amazon that will look like wings. It has fasteners that go around your fingers so you can lift your arms up and down and it looks like wings. I've never been one that likes to dress for Halloween and always hated having to think up a costume the times I was invited to a party. Some people get all into the whole costume thing. Do enjoy going to Halloween parties and getting into a costume?

No costumes for me. But I have friends that used to really enjoy making their own costumes and having parties. I hope all will be safe this year.

I'm not a costume person either. Since we're getting rain on Halloween it might deter a lot of the trick or treating

I wonder if your friends costume is similar to what my daughter is wearing. I've never been fond of Halloween and dressing up but it was fun when my kids were little and they would go trick or treating. Do you have a costume for the baby?

@Marilynda1225 Will your daughter allow you to share a photo of her in her costume with us? My baby is going to be a unicorn. I have been in a funk since my husband went to the Adirondacks on my sons birthday and I really didn’t want to go trick or treating but my husband does so I bought her a costume.

When I was a class mother I dressed up as Papa Smurf. I had a terrific time. I like to see the litles all decked out in their Halloween finery.

I bet you looked cute as Papa Smurf. I agree that seeing all the little kids all dressed up is the best part

I used to love to get all scary for halloween but all I've ever done is put makeup on to look like a vampire or space puppy or something, costumes were always way too expensive.

I was 12 the last time I got dressed up for Halloween. As far as a party, never been to one. Not my thing.

No; but we enjoy watching the festivities via webcam at the Key West Fantasy Fest. There are so many different kinds of costumes, many with LED lights. Have a great weekend.

No, I didn't dress up for Halloween. I had masks to put over my face, was it. Even now, I've a headband and mask, is all for Halloween.

My daughters enjoyed it as children. Now, even they have outgrown it. This year my elder elder one has one in her college. She was busy deciding a costume for herself. It's not been in our culture and only with recent global effects, we know of it. I have never been one who enjoys such parties.

There is no Halloween party here but I think most companies do trick or treat and run contests. Your daughter's costume sounds interesting.

I am not a Halloween person either. I am looking forward to having our son and his wife and the twins here all dressed up in their costumes, but I am glad that my day of taking him out trick or treating is done, it was always so cold.

Halloween is not a big thing here, adults do not celebrate Halloween, some young people surely organize parties. Wearing a costume surely not.
