5 November - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon. After a rainy morning, the sun is shining, and the sky is a brilliant blue. It's been a good day.
I'm thankful for the nap I got this morning. Rain always puts me to sleep. So, even though I had a wonderful 8 hours of sleep, I was down for a nap at 8 AM for another hour and a half. I got up at 3 this morning, having gone to bed around 7 last night.
I'm thankful my car is done. It took about three hours. I met his son's children as well as Lucy and Lola. Lola is a chihuahua. Two of his children were home, a boy, aged 12, and a girl, aged 6. The girl brought out coloring books, colored pencils, gel pens, and markers and we both colored. I haven't 'played' in ages. We also made masks out of construction paper. They're typical kids, harassing each other. I enjoyed my time with them and with Lucy. I came home covered in dog hair.
I'm thankful for the work I did on my book when I got home. I don't know how many words I did today. Maybe a thousand. I have over 7K on the book so far. I didn't do all that in the last couple of days. It will be interesting to see how this book unfolds.
That was my day. I'm almost finished eating vegetables. I don't know if I'm looking forward to regular food after this vegetarian diet for the past 10 weeks. Though I am looking forward to Thanksgiving and turkey.

I’m thankful that my husband got home from work early and we are enjoying a good movie. Also, the house smells so good with our dinner that we will be eating shortly.

Rainy day naps are the best! Glad you had a good time. In my opinion, all adults should have a little playtime once in a while.

Nothing major. I had the brakes done a few weeks ago and he needed to bleed them. He checked the fluids too and determined I needed an oil change, transmission, and power steering fluid. I also needed new windshield wipers which I got when I left the apartment this morning.

I am always thankful for the opportunity to play with kids. I am thankful that I signed up three new students today at Guitar Center. I am thankful that I've been making progress on my book. I am thankful that a woman at Guitar Center, to whom I was showing some guitar chords, said, "You have a good vibe!" I am thankful that I did some work on my Martin guitar and did not destroy it. I am thankful that this loudspeaker I'm working on is not giving me the problems its "brother" did. I am thankful to be alive. I am thankful to have found "meaning" in my life in several areas.

Sounds like a nice time with them, coloring is nice. A vegetarian diet does not sound very fun, but that's coming from someone who can't stand them. Nice rock paintings !
